Tim Donaghy calls it correctly on the Dan Patrick show

Post#1 » by Cqc_Nastyn8 » Wed May 26, 2010 7:38 am

Listen to the interview today. Donaghy said that the Suns would get all the calls and the Suns would win.

Once again, the rouge ref kinda knows what he's talking about.

32 FTA's to just 13 tonight for us. This is beyond ridiculous. In the 4 games we have lost we have shot 73 FTA's to their 154

hmm ok just to make it clear he didn't call the magic and boston game right? he made his statements after the the last 2 games not before

if he said his predictions before the magic won or before the suns won I would be impress. but no

the only thing that he got right was he said the home team would have more calls in tonight's game?( and this statement is after the last ecf and wcf game.)

his prediction are not very clear. he also said there is "there is NO WAY THE LEAGUE would allow the celtics to beat lebron"

hes just stating the obvious

Well that's pretty clear, and he was wrong.

Wasn't this the same guy that said that the playoffs are rigged so that Lakers play cavaliers in the finals? I don't understand why people are paying any attention to him. I'm a Lakers fan and I can acknowledge that the Lakers are struggling playing against the zone defense. The Suns were also at home so of course they would get the benefit of the call. The Lakers will figure out the zone by next game and the suns will be destroyed. Lakers in 6.

Who reffed? I think certain refs are way more prone to purposely altering a series than others...

but yah did u expect lebron to just stop playing? cuz u know what? he did because his ass wants to leave the cavs for a bigger market and please don't act like that wasn't the case because it is. So yah im sure no one saw that coming because during that whole series lebron only had 1 foul for like the first 3 games. Not even jordan got that treatment.

So just because a team is at home they get more ft attempts? Look at our FT on our home court they are NO where near 20+ compared to other teams. No team has beaten us without a huge FT difference aka OKC. Also this whole "zone" crap is so over rated you guys act like its hard to beat and don't even notice that the suns never get called for a defensive 3. They are always in the paint and never get called for it.. but bynum does when we play man to man d? cmon now?

Anyways about Tim im sure everyone hates him,but there is no way in hell you can tell me he was the ONLY crooked ref in the nba. Im sure there is tons more if not all

Woah, this guy predicted that the home team would get all the calls in their favor?

You know that Donaghy is the guy who flat out said that 2002 LAL-SAC series were rigged in Lakers favor, right? So by willing to buy what he's saying now, you also putting an asterisk to your 2002 championship.

I don't know about conspiracies and all that crap but I do think calls in the NBA are way too inconsistent...

But we didn't loose because of officiating...

We lost because, Bynum was passive...

Bynum being passive let the Suns Bigs focus on Pau... Which set the tone for the game.

Pau was getting hacked an not getting the calls... True... But that was because when the double was coming he wasn't recognizing it quick enough and Bynum wasn't in attack mode. So there was nobody to pass to. And Pau wasn't attacking the basket and trying to draw the fouls. He was standing flat footed and shooting hopeless jumpshots with two-three guys on him... He wasn't going to get those calls.

But like Kobe said, it was our non-existent D that sunk us... We scored more than enough to win.

And Bynum being passive on D too was a factor. Odom was out of position, and missed rotations... So did Artest and Kobe... Help was slow... And so was Gasol.

What worries me, is that in a lot of ways the D in Game 4 was worse than in game 3... That shouldn't have happened. And right now, my confidence in the team is shaken...

Referees are not a good enough excuse... Other than Nash's 'Fingertip to the head flop on a dribble'... That was an embarrassment.

One thing I find funny though is how they always say "The aggressive team is going to get the calls." But how can you be aggressive if the calls aren't going your way?

Im starting to believe but only because im currently frustrated. Im usually the last person to blame the refs and or believe in conspiracy theories about the NBA....but after last nights game......EFF IT! LoL

It just seems a little odd that Lebron tanked his last two playoff games, the magic are folding against the celtics...and now all of sudden the lakers forgot how to play defense.

Assuming we still win the series....again its gonna be Lakers vs Celtics....a series that in 2008 more than significantly raised the number of viewers from the previous finals.

It all seems too perfect. I mean can anyone honestly see a Suns vs Magic Finals? Or even Suns vs Celtics?

Im just sayin!

We've got a lot of things we can do a lot better before we abandon our self-respect and start using the officiating as an excuse. Play defense, rebound, quit tossing up 3-pointers...do all that before we start resorting to cop-outs.
