After taking Game 1 of the 2010 NBA Finals The Lakers look to take a 2-0 series lead. This is a MUST! The Lakers need to go up 2-0 & send the C's reeling & doubting themselves heading back to Boston where the goal would be to take to & finish the series or at least get 1 & come home up 3-2. BOSTON WILL NOT LAY DOWN! We must take the games & their hearts! Get it done fellas. They will not be happy with Thursday's effort so look forward to a dog fight on Sunday.

Keys To Victory

Keep feeding the bigs. We are too big for these guys & in Game 1 it was apparent they had no answer for Pau, Drew, or Kobe. Keep winning the battle of the boards. In Game 1 we out rebounded them 37-27 This is a must. Kobe. Just keep being Kobe. He is totally within the offense & takes over when needed. Kings have Crowns. Need I say more?

Series Facts

The Celtics are the only team the Lakers have a losing regular season & playoff record against. The's C's lead the regular season series 152-120 & counting Thursday's game the playoff series is 40-28. The biggest stat we all dislike is being down 2-9 in head to head Finals match ups. Let's rectify this, make it 3-9 & come within 1 of tying them for all time titles!

Let's not count our chickens before they hatch. It may be true but let's hold it until there's no doubt because if they push us to 6 the trolls will follow.

Gm 2 - More of the killer B's
- Bryant, 20-25 shots and 5-8 assists = perfect blend
- Brawn Ron doing his thing on Paula
- Board, Pau Odom Drew dominates
- Bench, play confident but .controlled
- Bynum, outplay Perkins even @ 50 %

great game thread! i think we just have to stick to the blueprint. pau has to be aggressive. kobe has to keep getting to the rim,and guys have to hit shots. i expect boston to play better in game 2,and they might but i expect us to play a whole lot better also. kobe and pau missed some pit blank shots at the rim last night and it had nothing to do with the celtics d either. if artest can continue to play pierce the way he has,and kobe and gasol do their thing this series might be shorter than we all expected.
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

I predict Ray Allen will not be in foul trouble like he was in game 1. Expect him to play a huge factor in what I expect to be a Boston resurgence in game 2. It will be close and they're gonna try and counter-attack. It depends on how the refs let both teams play. Call the touch fouls and I sense a game 1 repeat otherwise it will be a tug-of-war to see if the Lakers can take it to 2-0 in Boston and try steal one in the Garden.

The Celtics played flat and I really felt like they believed their own hype before game 1...thinking it's still 08 and they can bully us. Truth is - the Lakers are NOT that team anymore. They are so far gone from that group who had a deer-in-the-headlights-look. We want it and we want it bad.

Beautiful Game Thread.

We better not sleep on game 2 and let them steal home court. I do think we have a better team, but look at what happened even vs Oklahoma. Key to game 2- come out hungry and willing just like in game 1. I do expect that the refs will play a big part of game 2, not for bad calls but because the pace for game 1 was slow and favored our bigs ability to get back and rebound more than not. Transitional rebounds have been trickier for us vs the suns and stolen sonics. At least this time we have a half court team as an opponent.

good game by all except LO....need him to step up in gm 2 if Ray isn't in foul trouble he'll make a bigger impact, we'll need LO big game to counter that.

I have a feeling there will be less fouls called this game. It really slowed down the game and they talked about it during the post game show. The refs will probably review the game and let them play especially early on. If this is the case the Lakers better be ready to play some physical ball and run back on D instead of complaining to refs.

game 1 was a misunderstanding...

1. no way ray allen gets into early foul trouble
2. kg will bounce back stronger

-kobe needs to play D on rondo like hes trying to prove a point. rondo only had 13 points but a majority were VERY EASY looks from 5ft inwards..

-bynum played a nice role for us in game 1...i hope he keeps up that defensive presence cuz we really really need a tough anchor inside

-pau gasol's 8 offensive boards is overrated...a lot of those were his own putbacks, so that wont happen again

- in the "wired" portion of the game, doc rivers kept telling the team that the lakers are being more aggressive, and flat out playing HARDER...hes gona drill this into the celts for game 2...and the celtics are gona bring a different level of intensity

- in game 1, the celtics D in the 1st quarter was pretty good, but the lakers played through...which was a good thing

-for the first time this season, i noticed the lakers playing with a sense of "poise"...whenever the celtics try to make a push, they didnt get scared...they punched back, and thats what we need

-im expecting ron artest to stay fired up, although pierce will get his

expect ray allen and kevin garnett's game to rise and gasol's game to drop a little..also expect odom to get more minutes

You all hear about Pau's comments? Dude can't give the C's extra motivation like that. Kobe was asked a similar question and he responded by saying KG looked the same and was everywhere. Then Pau goes and says KG has lost a step and is only a jump shooter. Come on Pau! You are smarter than that!!!

Yes I did. I think you let a sleeping dog lie. If KG gets it rolling, Pau better answer the bell.
