tweets from Kevin Ding game 1

Post#1 » by snaquille oatmeal » Sat Jun 5, 2010 4:56 am

some of these are hilarious.

RT @dpshow: Ding: Kobe has to do what he couldn't in 2008 for Lakers to win http://bit.ly/9EExnP

New Nike Basketball commercial of past NBA greats and Kobe's quest for championship No. 5: http://youtu.be/BgqO06FG_5w

http://tweetphoto.com/25424724 Drove by The Forum to dodge freeway traffic. No love for hometown guy Pierce amid TON of unlicensed gear.

RT @iambigbaby11: Man laker fans are crazy!!!! They love the lake show out here!!!! But Boston fans are the best!!!! Ayo baby !!!! On my mama!!!

Phil thinks Lakers' KG offer was better. RT @LakersReporter: Phil on McHale giving Doc coaching edge: "He gave them Kevin Garnett. Why not."

Lakers giving away gold T-shirts to fans tonight with: "THIS IS THE ONE" on front.

Speaking of Pierce shirts ... RT @SI_ChrisBallard: Best T-shirt at Staples: Handicapped Wheelchair sign w/ words "PAUL PIERCE PARKING ONLY"

RT @SethDavisHoops: John Wooden has not passed away but he is hospitalized and unlikely to leave the hospital.

Next to Lakers' bench, in a row: Chris Rock, David Spade, Kevin James, Adam Sandler.

Remember how I Tweeted that you could get a courtside seat tonight for about $30K? Just so happens that Mark Cuban has one, I see.

It was Kobe who lost Rondo on that first play of the game after Artest gambled. Fish is on Ray Allen.

27 seconds in, Artest's usual physical box-out squashes Pierce.

Sasha stops abruptly running back after Ray scores on him and jolts Allen with a shoulder.

Fish nearly got his quick 2nd foul moments earlier and now just did. Sasha guarded Allen well in last meeting in Feb, so he's in.

Lakers have outrebounded BOS, 6-2. Five of the six from Bynum/Gasol. Lakers lead, 16-10.

Ray Allen yelling at Perkins for letting Kobe waltz into floater last time. Now Kobe draws bump from Ray for his 2nd.

Luke Walton to ref Joe DeRosa about Paul Pierce: "He's floppin', Joe!"

Celts came in very physical. But gotta read officiating. Joey Crawford tends to call it tight -- a reason finesse Lakers do well w/him.

Lakers' challenge to Lamar this series: Outplay Rasheed Wallace.

Great read by Gasol, who wanted to go to Bynum but saw KG wouldn't leave Bynum. So Pau went back to Kobe for FTs.

That kind of stupid pass to Kobe from Jordan Farmar was how Kobe fractured his finger in the first place. Lakers 18, Celtics 16.

Kobe pushes Pierce in back on his 1st possession on him. Kobe to ref Derrick Stafford: "He's floppin'!"

Kobe on in-arena bio promo. Cites Gladiator, Braveheart, Godfather among favorite movies.

Hilary Swank kisses Leo DiCaprio as they cross paths here during timeout.

Great early sign for Lakers: Odom draws foul on Wallace just with more want-to.

As a follow-up on value of true courtside seats: Hilary Swank and Snoop are next to each other ... in 2nd row behind walkway.

Lamar and Big Baby Davis have an extended conversation here. Seems civil enough, but Joey Crawford still approached.

After 16th foul called (still 1:23 left in Q1), Fish on bench sighs and crosses arms in frustration.

Spectacular finish to Kiss Me Cam with Dustin Hoffman snubbing wife to kiss Jason Bateman on other side. :)

Shannon drives in transition before Phil can call timeout ... and blows past Finley for layup. Lakers lead, 26-21, after Q1.

RT @LAMase: Artest gave away 2 tix to Gm 1 in Twitter contest. Winners are on the court like Nicholson. Artest paid $18K for them!!!

Jack Nicholson almost punched Doc Rivers in the groin pointing out there to help Lakers match up on D.

RT @PFlanns: @KevinDing Transition pull-up 3's are what Nate does. Ditto Perk: Dirty looks.

Perkins give Nate Rob dirty look after terrible transition J from Nate follows Perk steal vs. Kobe.

Artest sticks 3-pointer. Scalabrine bows head into hands on BOS bench. Artest follows up w/fast-break layup. Lakers up, 44-35.

Kobe appealing to ref Derrick Stafford a 2nd time that Ray Allen undercut him on baseline J. Kobe got up favoring right foot.

Farmar hopping up and down and punching buddy Walton on bench after Fisher's pull-up banker gives Lakers 48-37 lead.

Is this Pau Gasol or Dwight Howard?

Terrell Owens gives Jeanie Buss a kiss on the cheek at halftime ... and then has a big hug for the Staples Center usher. And for Snoop.

Lakers lead at halftime, 50-41, with a 28-12 advantage in points in the paint and 10-0 edge in second-chance points.

Joey Crawford calls Bynum foul against Rondo. Luke Walton from bench: "God damn, Joey!"

Farmar just forearmed Walton on the Lakers' bench ... to demonstrate what Ray Allen is doing to Derek Fisher to get open

Stoic Kendrick Perkins looked the happiest I've seen him watching overhead scoreboard with Snoop on it while "Drop it Like it's Hot" played.

"Boston sucks!" chant in mid-Q3 timeout with Lakers ahead, 65-52.

'Sheed was upset that Gasol grabbed his hand after whistle at other end -- so retribution with body block on Fish.

Celts def coordinator Tom Thibodeau with hand on hip in timeout w/Lakers up 13. Kobe has 24 (on 9/16 FGs), 4r and 4a (tho 4 TOs).

Continuing splendid game, @derekfisher gathers whole team for pep talk on focus at end of Q3 despite 20-point lead.

Artest's sideways 3-pointer gives Lakers 84-64 lead. Celtics looking old and confused entering Q4.

NBA asked Phil to stop paying $ for charges drawn b/c it's technically illegal. RT @L4k3r6rl: @KevinDing does fish get $50 for that foul??

I don't think even Celtics fans can root for Rasheed.

Rasheed, who has been fighting back problems and not practicing, just asked out of the game. He has played 15 minutes in three quarters.

Kobe said something to Lamar out that bad shot selection and would've said it louder if not for timeout sending them all to bench.

That missed tip-in by KG was just his 2nd rebound of the game. And Lakers are still blanking Celtics in 2nd-chance points, 16-0.

RT @LarryCoon: The Celtics don't have any countrymen for Sasha to clock & fire the team up, launching a 4th qtr comeback....do they?

Kobe cursing on bench after Shannon passed up catch-and-shoot chance and then launches another jumper.

Artest devouring Big Baby for late dinner there symbolic of Lakers' improved paint presence since 2008 Finals.

Lakers expected to rule transition in '08 but never could. RT @LarryCoon: As @johnhollinger pointed out, C's slow getting back all night.

KG wipes hands on his butt after biffing that shot in a rush.

Celtics down to 42 percent shooting (1/10 on 3-pointers) and trail, 95-82, with 2:30 left.

And the obligatory statistic of first-punch power: Phil Jackson's teams are 47-0 in playoff series after winning Game 1.

Lakers have been great at helping in paint vs. him. RT @EricPincus: Rondo needs to finish some drives instead - score or draw fouls, etc.

Kobe has 7 and Drew 6, too. RT @LakersReporter: Pau Gasol has same number of rebounds as Garnett, Perkins, Allen and Rondo combined (12).

Staples chant: "Paul Pierce sucks!"

Might be more interesting if it was not so long and kind of boring to read.
