Free Adam Morrison

Post#1 » by teven_1 » Sun Jun 6, 2010 3:24 am

Let me come clean, outside of highlights I've never seen Adam Morrison play.
It is my understanding that he is 6-8, shoots 3's, is a former College stand out and lottery pick.

Now I'm asking Lakers fans who've maybe seen this guy in garbage time, does this guy have a future on this team or in this L. (and no ivory tower discussions here I want a realistic answer)

Adam Morrison didn't reinvent his game coming into the NBA like Reddick did.

I don't see a future.

Don't worry, he'll be freed after this season when his contract expires and we don't offer him a contract.

Never seen an NBA game with him in it? Really? He sucks, he's a headcase, a nutjob, not mentally tough, or more accuratly, mentally all there. He's dumb, he's I think on drugs, or mentally imbalanced. He's done after this contract, finished, capoot. Clear enough?

As far as college SUPERSTARS not being able to translate their game to the NBA, Morrison has to be at the top of the list. It's hard to believe he was the most talked about NCAA player and can't even cut a 12 man roster now.
Thank you, Phil.

I think he would've been a solid bench player atleast if he didnt tore his acl. He can thank luke for that.

injury or not, being that young, a torn acl shouldnt be the end of ur career. he was a fail to begin with.

He is finished in LA. May be picked up as a min vet on a bad roster. Had bad rehab treatment for his acl and has never come back. Could play in Miami and other teams that need players at min vet levels.

To me, when looking at Adam Morrison during games, dressed or not, he looks like he's in a different world totally opposite to what's going on the court.

He'll leave in the summer and I doubt he's gonna be strongly demanded.

Also remember he is making 5 million, but as the Lakers are over the max, he is costing the Lakers 10 milion. Thanks Luke...

I'm not sure that it's really fair of us to label him. He's played what, like 5 minutes this whole season?

He did average 20 ppg in the Summer League. (Not that it really matters, but I'm just saying...)

Just because Phil won't play him and he is unable to crack our rotation does not necessarily mean that he wouldn't and couldn't contribute somewhere else.

None of us have really seen what he is capable of the last two years, because he simply cannot get minutes on our squad. We shouldn't assume that there wouldn't be another team out there willing to give him a shot. In fact, I'd be surprised if he wasn't given a chance somewhere else.

The Lakers will most likely let him go, unless they see some potential in him during practices.

He's living the dream right now though.... wow!

8-)

tearing your acl after getting juked by luke walton, of all people, has to be as low as your career goes.
