Scheduled Practice for Ricardo Reyes at West Hollywood Eatery Thursday
WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA--(Marketwire - June 9, 2010) - After beating LeBron James 72-42 (http://bit.ly/9OKO7u) and Charles Barkley 85-51 (http://bit.ly/9gjAnc) in Pop-a-Shot challenge following NBA Championship Games 1 and 2 on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night," busboy Ricardo Reyes will face off with Kobe Bryant Thursday night after Game 4.

The 41-year-old Reyes has been unbeatable at this hoops-shooting arcade basketball game. Upon witnessing Reyes swishing endless five footers while eating at the Beanery recently, the comedy writing crew for ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" realized the hot talent and posed a challenge to the NBA stars scheduled to guest on the show. The rest is history.

"I do worry for Kobe because since his wins over James and Barkley, Ricardo has been spending so many hours at the hoop that it's hard to get a table bussed around here," said David Houston, owner of Barney's Beanery about his employee of nearly two decades.

While Kobe will be busy battling the Celtics at the TD Garden, Reyes will be practicing his shots at the legendary roadhouse during the Championship Game Viewing Party in West Hollywood. The Kobe-Reyes contest will air on "Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night" following Game 4 of the Championship series on ABC.

The original West Hollywood Beanery has been long known for its history as a gathering place beginning with early glamour days stars like Greta Garbo and Clark Gable, and later counterculture musicians like Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix. The West Hollywood venue is still going strong with regulars like Drew Carey, Adam Sandler, Johnny Depp and Quentin Tarantino, and a slew of notables that reads like Jay Leno's nightly guest list.

Barney's Beanery is located in West Hollywood at 8447 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood;

Don't do it Kobe he smoked LBJ and Barkley, no upside. Say naw dog I don't do mini shot, but I'll play his butt 1 on 1 regulation, I'll tie my right hand behind my back and play all left handed, now that would be cool.

What's the point in losing a bar game like that. That's for dudes that don't make the Finals.

For fun maybe? lighten up, it's not going to tarnish Kobe's legacy if he loses.
