Ron Artest VS: Paul Pierce
Paul Pierce had a much better game in Game 4 and for the Celtics to win this series, they're going to need Paul Pierce to step up and be the best player on the floor for them. Ron has gotta hold him to another low percentage shooting game and keep Pierce's shot attempts down. On offence, while Ron contributed 8 points, he needs to knock down some outside shots like he did against Phoenix late in the series. He shot almost 40% from three for the majority of the season and he needs to have one of those games where he knocks them down. Ron's been a pretty good offensive player his entire career and he needs to find that. However, the most important key is to limit Pierce.
Keys To The Game For A Lakers Victory
- - Second Chance Points: Obviously, the Celtics got a lot of second chance points in Game 4. Especially off of offensive rebounds and the Lakers rushing after collecting rebounds. We have to limit the Celtics to one and done on the offensive end. Rebounding: Gasol and Odom got to tough up on the boards and if Odom doesn't, I don't care how bad Bynum's knee is. Andrew needs to be in this game because after Phil sat him in Game 4, everything looked exactly like 2008.
- - Bench Play: The Lakers let Glen Davis come off the bench and abuse them. Lamar Odom should be taking a look at himself in the mirror right now. Odom didn't even try to box out, he tried to use his length and Baby Davis pushed him around all over the paint.
- - Kobe Be Great: Well, Kobe had a good game in Game 4 to give the Lakers a chance and he needs to do it again. It's a shame Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol had to curl up into infants in the fourth quarter or else the Lakers would be up 3-1. For the Lakers to have a chance to win Game 5, Kobe's got to have another great game and will the Lakers to a win.
