Honestly this guy looks like the perimeter version of kwame brown out there. Offensively hes been atrocious the whole year but at least he was solid defensively. With Pierce going off on him he absolutely brings nothing to the table. damn i miss ariza

One good game? Try three.
Game 1: 24 PTS (.641 TS%), 9 REB, 4 AST, 3 TOV
Game 4: 19 PTS (.630 TS%), 6 REB, 5 AST, 5 TOV
Game 5: 27 PTS (.617 TS%), 2 REB, 2 AST, 0 TOV

So much for Ron's stellar D. He has no offense, I bet Ariza could have done the same job on Paulie while putting pressure on the Celtics D with his offense. If Lakers lose it's going to be because of LO and Ron are struggling on offense. I should prbbly include the fact Pau is slowly becoming KG's bitch again.

pierce would have raped ariza in the post if he was here. guys get over it. we lost because EVERYONE played crap last night. quit using the guy as an scapegoat. I'm not a stat guy, but anyone with good bball knowledge knows pierce is a good offensive player, he would have 1-2 good games in this series. defensively, I don't have any complaints against artest. offensively celtics is a good defensive team even kobe is struggling in his offense.

he needs a gm 1 like performance, pretty much cancelled out pierce gm, gm 1 I woudn't consider a good gm for Pierce, he had 11pts through 3 qtrs and majority of his 4th qtr points were garbage points.

i think ariza would have done just fine considering he pretty much held his own against carmelo in last years playoffs. and its not just last nite artest has been offensively inept all year long. how many wide open 3's has he bricked. its not even about scoring. his passing is also a joke. dude cant even make simple post entry passes. thats why when the ball is swung to artest it gets stuck in has hands bcuz he cant even execute fundamental simple post entry passes and that throws everyone off rhythm. im amazed at how people are ripping odom left and rights but when it comes to artest theyre quick to make excuses. at least i could live with his inadequate offense bcuz he has been at least solid defensively but pierce has just been having his way. if he cant slow down pierce the next game i dont think they win. the simple fact is that he is a terrible fit and choosing him over ariza could very well cost us the championship this year.

The problem with Artest is that since game 1 he's completely fallen off the map offensively. I mean, I don't like to make everything about statistics either, but look at this mess:
Game 2: 6 PTS (.222 TS%), 5 REB, 1 AST, 3 TOV
Game 3: 2 PTS (.250 TS%), 3 REB, 1 AST, 1 TOV
Game 4: 9 PTS (.431 TS%), 7 REB, 3 AST, 0 TOV
Game 5: 7 PTS (.325 TS%), 2 REB, 2 AST, 1 TOV
The sad part is that he's being left wide open. We need way more than that if we're hoping to win a championship. Kobe and Pau need help, and Artest has got to step up his game and start contributing on offense. How can this guy still look like a lost kitten after an entire season in our offense?
On the other side of the spectrum, Odom needs to figure it out on the defensive end. He's scoring efficiently and giving something on offense, but god damn does his defense and rebounding suck.
What I'm seeing from these two clowns is truly pathetic. Bynum, on one leg, has managed to outplay these two idiots.

Bynum is showing heart dude is playing better then Pau on one leg lol and Artest is horrible he doesn't know what he is doing out there, Pierce has the ball at the elbows does a couple dribbles then a step back all the Fn time forget that hand in the face ish just contest his shot

Unfortuanately for Ron these type of games are far more frequent than his game 1. I mean looking at the whole playoffs his numbers have been pretty much just that. Hes had a few good games which distorts his averages but for the most part hes been that bad offensively. maybe he can give us at least one more good game but i wouldnt count on it.

Ron has been fine! We all said when we brought him in that we don't need any offense from him...and we still don't!!!
Ron has done a FANTASTIC job on Pierce. Game 1 Pierce didn't do **** until the game was already decided late in the 4th. Game 4 Pierce has 12 pts in the first quarter (bad quarter by Ron AND the bigs who offered no backline defense) and had 5 ponits for the rest of the game. Ron's only bad game was game 5, and Pierce was hitting everything...bound to happen but unlikely to happen again.

Sure Ariza isn't as "strong" as Artest (which everyone likes to bring up as Rons strength) But I wonder how many loose balls Ariza could get to with his quickness, and ability to shoot gaps for steals, how many dunks instead he would have had with passes given to him at the basket or with an open lane, instead of watching Artests floundering around when he get's the ball, dribbling dribbling dribbbling around under the basket, out the other side, then with the shot clock winding down, either passing it or hucking up an ugly shot, or a turnover.
I wonder about the play last night at the end of the game how Artest got a break away, and Peirce caught up to this slow footed oof and fouled him (where he then missed two free throws that would have cut the lead to 3, I wonder how Ariza would have flown in for a dunk and possibly an AND ONE?
I wonder how many three's Ariza with his smooth clutch stroke would offer us over Artest mental lack of clutch, lack of playing smart game he gives. Sigh, let's hope Kobe can pull this out for us, Kobe will have to have the best two games of his life to do so.

an LA fan calling a celtics fan bandwagon......that's rich.
yes wallace's contract isn't the greatest either, but he can still defend.
