JORDAN FARMAR = NOT FOCUSED FOR THE FINALS

i cant believe this guy.

first off, let me give you the background on this. All of the players stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston while they were here for the finals. right next door is an AMAZING italian restaurant called "via Matta"

this girl I know has been working there for sometime. We were having dinner one night while she was working, between game 3 and 4. Farmar and Luke Walton walk in with a trainer to have dinner. Farmar immediately hits on this girl and gives her his number.

after game 4, he texted her saying that the Lakers lost because she didn't go out with him. I saw this text myself. not too big a deal i thought.

then, less than two hours from the Game 5 loss, he texted her again, asking "so you gonna go out with me before I leave Boston? we leave pretty early tomorrow."

WAS THIS GUY EVER THINKING ABOUT THE ACTUAL GAME OF BASKETBALL? THIS IS THE NBA FINALS GET SOME GROUPIE LOVE DURING THE REGULAR SEASON. NOT ONLY THAT, THIS GIRL IS NOT SOME MODEL SHE'S JUST A GOOD LOOKING GIRL. NOTHING SPECIAL.

now we know why this guy makes bone headed plays all the time. I'd rather him not be a Laker next year.

Damn maybe he should realize if he starts playing any kind of better than pure sh**, maybe a girl would say yes next time.

Those losses were on anybody other than Farmar/Sasha. Farmar I thought actually played well in limited minutes.

So I guess the girl didn't go out with him. Funny story. I'm not surprised though.. he seems pretty cocky.

this reminds me of the scene in Fever Pitch where they see johnny damon, trot nixon, and jason varitek laughing it up at dinner after a playoff loss.

i don't think he's played that great, just because he hit a couple shots doesnt mean anything. if you think he plays good defense then i dont know who your watching. and part of it is because he doesnt seem to be focused.

who knows how many guys on our team have that mindset?

and i dont expect him to think about basketball 24-7, but the guy basically shrugged off a game 5 loss DURING THE FINALS. if i hate losing that game as a fan, he should be 100x more pissed than me.

he's got an apathetic attitude. just flat out not Lakers material. he'll definitely be gone this offseason. i'm sure the coaches notice it, they probably just have no choice but to play him given how bad our bench is.

thankfully we have home court advantage and I expect our guys to play a little better in LA.

I don't like the guy. He might be alot better in a fast paced offense like Phoenix or NY, but his attitude will probably always suck. He's like Diet Van Exel (now with half the skill and twice the ears)

Okay so what?? The guys has a personal life. Him asking a girl out on a date doesnt mean he wasnt physically or mentally prepared. In fact I dispise him his ears and his ucked up attitude but like J-far said he has done his fair share of contributions. Its not like the guy is the reason why we lost.
Maybe if he got laid he wouldve played even better. Who knows??

Please.. don't create smoke screens here. He's openly said he's not worried about his contract and he's fine playing 5 mins in one game and 20 mins in another. He's had issues in the past but he's been nothing less than professional this season and playoffs.

I knocked him when he sucked but he's played straight up good defense, made shots and FTs this time. You guys are just barking up the wrong tree. I'd say he's been more valuable than LO this series.

I don't even care about this dude anymore...I just lower my expectations when it comes to our bench esp farmar and brown. if they gets as some threes and not leave their man on defense, then I'm fine with it.

i think what the TC means is that farmar isnt focused on the task at hand. i would expect him to be a little more mad at losing game 5. me myself have lost 3 on 3 tournaments and didnt want to be bothered. i guess some people take the game more seriously than others.
