Is anyone afraid of Kobe trying to stamp the game?

Post#1 » by ClubLakers KB8 » Wed Jun 16, 2010 8:53 pm

Let me say first of all that I think we're going to win tomorrow. It just feels right.

The thing is, part of me is worried about Kobe trying to have "that game". I'm afraid he might true too hard to conquer the game and remind everyone why he's the best. Not saying it's a bad thing (in case he's in Mamba mode), but we've all seen him try to shoulder the load at inopportune times.

no hes too smart for that...he'll try to have a good game but if it's not working, no way I would see him force the issues.

You come at me with that? Come on man, same team here.

I've been a Laker fan for 15 years. I've seen Kobe do it all. I've seen him try to seize the moment.

I'm not saying he will do it, because I personally don't think he will, but he DOES have the ability.

It's a mere question dude. Are you afraid of Kobe trying to do too much?

Quit worrying about something you have zero control over. Whatever happens, happens. The game in progress will be stressful enough, no need to stress yourself out over worrying about how Kobe MIGHT play tomorrow night.

How Kobe performs determines if we win a title or not. This is a 7th game in the NBA Finals against a GREAT Celtics team.

Kobe stamped yesterday's game pretty damn good. He came out blazing, so yeah I'm scared for Boston if Kobe tries to stamp the game.

Stamp the game with a game winner. <---- worst possible scenario since we should win by 44.

Stamp the game with his first every playoff triple double.

35, 11 and 12. 54% FG with 3 stl.... a great game from bryant.

The thought has crossed my mind several times in these NBA Finals.

However, Kobe has the Finals MVP pretty much locked up, so I think he'll play under control and avoid invoking his inner poor man's Jordan.

afraid yes but unlikely unless we get behind by double digits.....he saw what team game can do for us, also alot of the writers/analyst already put him as MVP even if LA loses, pretty high praises.

Im not coming at you in no way. I'm just tired of people worrying about Kobe when the guy has carried us through this whole finals. You should worried more about the inconsistent players like odom,ron,farmar...etc. Kobe should be the last one you worry about and it's sad that people still think Kobe is that selfish of a player. So to answer your question. No I am not afraid of Kobe trying to do to much. :D

You don't have to worry about 24 anymore, worry about Odom, Artest, Farmar, Vulvacheck.

Not many have more experience than Kobe, he's MADE.

it's pretty simple: at the beginning of the game all bryant has to do is pass the ball when three players converge and not leave his feet while doing so. he did just that within the first two possessions of game 6 to someone-- artest?-- in the left corner who drained the shot. he doesn't even have to do that but once every so often because he can expect the triple team every time. but the key is passing from the ground not from the air, since passing from the air is less accurate and lacks the proper timing and pace that passing from the ground does. this has the incredibly positive effect on his teammates of their expecting the pass. that makes all the difference in terms of focus and synergy.
