Don't look now...but Javaris Crittenton's a free agent this summer. We need to bring this guy back to where it all began. Since we traded him (for two championships, no less-a trade that I would do 10/10 times), we didn't have a choice but to deal with the uneven play Jordan Farmar behind Derek Fisher. I don't need to go into detail about his pros and cons, as we all know what they are already.

Bring this guy back!

I'm for it, he was starting to play well before we moved him.

And he'll come cheap as a result. Last I remember, Artest was actually involved in physical violence, and that didn't stop us from snagging him for his talents.

Artest got into a fist fight. Crittenton pulled out a gun. I would much rather get decked any day than get shot.

he had flaws. he showboated too much and his handle was suspect. and he was only ever on during garbage time unless there was a huge injury/foul problem. PJ played just enough to showcase him, and just not enough for his flaws to surface and turn teams off.

we sold him at the right time, while his stock was at its peak. we got what we wanted out of him, 1/4 of pau gasol

leave the critter wagon alone

Critt was a player that came in when the game was over and it was just trash time. I think we can do better.

Who did Critt shoot again? I can't seem to remember....how badly was the victim hurt? Will he ever walk again? Ooooooooh, right, he didn't shoot anyone.

Pick him up. He'll be better than Farmar off the bat, and he could allow Fish to get some rest this upcoming season.

I liked Crittenton and always thought Farmar should have been traded. However after the whole issue with the gun incident, this guy is seriously lacking common sense and question his ability to make good judgemental calls. Pass.

2nd shot for Critt. It would be great to see him back on the team. If we can get him for cheap we can develop him nicely as the season goes on.
Javaris Crittenton (#13) made $1.4 million “playing” for the Washington Wizards this season, but was cut midway through the season and did not have the fourth year option on his rookie contract picked up last summer. He’ll try to earn a contract playing summer league with the Lakers in Las Vegas from July 9-18 .

He would be a cheaper replacement for Farmar. Maybe if he tears it up during the Summer League the PG dilemma won't be an issue. That would allow the Lakers to focus on retooling the bench.

He has been given opportunities and minutes before that he will not see here, and didn't really thrive. I don't see why we should want him back, when he hasn't really shown anything even when given opportunities. One of the biggest faults on our team as well is three point shooting, which Crittenton would not provide at all. The only reason I think some of you want him back seems to be because he was drafted by us. If we were to sign him to the veteran's minimum, stashed him on the bench, and tried to develop him, I wouldn't be upset - but he's not really on my radar at all.
