we better keep him......he was a top prospect coming out of h.s. about 5 yrs ago...he seems to have controlled his emotions, due to his horrible experience at louisville ......the kid is an absolute animal, he's this yr's dajuan blair, except i dont think he has good range on his jumper, but if we keep him he will be that tough body we need down low.....he destroyed greg oden, and when i would watch my h.s. (union catholic) play saint pat's he was just simply unstoppable.....he could be zach randolph at best, or a dajuan blair type at worst.....he has the ability to become a 10/10 guy guarantee it, but i know we will trade him, which is a bad idea...

he was an animal for utep as well, in case you're wondering about him in college i believe he was like a 14/10 guy, but he's just such a bully down low, he'd just bring us some toughness, and much needed rebounding okay maybe he's not as polished as zach, but i bet he has the best, if not one of the best low post skill sets in this class, and he has excellent footwork and body control

hes a 58th pick. at best hes big baby davis. while he could be eddy curry at worst.

yeah you're probably right, lol, i got a little excited in comparing him to zach, but he's more polished and a better low post player than big baby, he also has more potential than big baby....58th pick, or not, he has lottery talent, anyone who watched him play will tell you that he has an alite low post skill set....it was his attitude and his constant fighting with patino that got him in the 2nd round....

its one thing beasting on HS and college kids

its another taking on grown men with professional staff and millions of dollars invested in them

You know... i brought up that Dejuan Blair comparison on the draft thread and somebody cried foul! Well I was riding the dream mobile when i said that but now... i'm thinking its not so far off.....

Question: Where in the draft was Blair picked? and how high was this guy projected before his stock fell?

i agree with you, lol leave me alone i have high expectations for him becaUSE he's a jersey boy, but he does have a better skill set than big baby.......check out his rebounding, low post moves, and passing.....he would really compliment pau

dejuan blair was projected as a lottery talent. he dropped because:
1. he was undersized
2. he has missing ligaments in his knees (boggles me how he can even jump) and teams didn't want to take the risk

Unquestionably a great gamble at # 58.

It will be interesting to see how he does in Summer League.

If we continue to run the triangle, I think he (and Ebanks) will be slow to develop. If there is a coaching change and the Lakers go more to a motion offense with some pick and rolls and also run the offense from the post in the low block, I think these kids could contribute more quickly.

The triangle is more intricate and will take them longer to pick up.

blair was s.a.'s second round pick i think like 42 or something, he would have/should have been a lottery pick (was projected anywhere from like 10-late 1st, everyone pass on him because of him not having any acls...... i remember watching him his first game at pitt he was a 4 star recruit and not to many ppl knew about him, but boy did we, along with everyone else pass up on a talent like blair, atleast we got a blair 2.0 in caracter.....more polished than blair and big baby, if we dont trade him, no way he doesn't make the roster, unless he's still a trouble maker... but i heard we did trade caracter, we picked him for someone else i heard, i feel bad now, he would have been the perfect fit for us....ugh we pass up on too much talent....

hes seems like a mix of big sofo, antoine walker and eddy curry

his highlights vs. greg oden.....he actually has pretty decent handle and can shoot the ball a little, or course that's at high school level though, but in the previous video of him at UTEP he did hit a 3 as well, maybe if he can shoot and develop, he is a lottery talent after all, we can finally get rid of L.O. aka the human disappearing act....

Looks like camp fodder to me, dude is slow, barely moves, and not once dunks in a Highlight video? He's too short to play with the Bigs of the NBA, and not quick enough, and is just overweight.

That had to be the worst "highlight" video of a person I've ever seen, It shows him missing two layups?

I wouldn't consider the 58th pick a gamble. You have to pick someone at that point.

The video also doesn't show much. I saw that the highlight includes 2 missed hook shots 2 feet from the rim--and not a single dunk in a 4:22minute video. This is a 6'9" PF.
