Adrian Wojnarowski wrote:G-State restricted free agent Anthony Morrow has slew of interest, including Spurs, Celtics, Lakers, Blazers, Clips and Jazz, sources say.

not sure how far the interest goes seeing as how he's restricted and GS probably matches even a full MLE deal, but nice to hear they aren't just settling for scrubs like watson, ridnour, and blake. morrow is lights out from 3.

I think Boston is going after him with Rasheed's "retiring" contract. This way they still have there MLE to spend on a big guy

Morrow was my #1 target and probably the only guy I'd use the full MLE on. Young, works hard, money shooter, does other things like rebound well, and isn't a chucker. He's restricted though and I doubt management would throw the full at him, and even then GS could match. Although we could play a game with them, start with Morrow, they match, then throw money at CJ Watson my #2 choice.

I know I've said this before, but...

So if we get Morrow, J Critt, Jack and Bosh then sign Luke Schenscher to back-up or start over Bynum. With Paul Hewitt as head coach I really think this could work.

PG: J Critt
SG: Jack
SF: Morrow
PF: Bosh
C: Schenscher

Coach: Paul Hewitt

We win.

unless the magic are getting something in return, i don't see any reason for them to help the celtics out like that.

LA won't pay him as much as other clubs. hes a poor defender but his shooting is great.

can a team trust him in the 4th Qtr in the playoffs? id rather see bell or miller out there. atleast morrow can cover PG's or try too

Morrow is a great young player. He will not be a Lakers. Someone will offer him 7-8 million and I do not think the Lakers would go over 2 million.

Would that salary come off the magic's books? Although since JJ isn't on there team right now it's not like they're really gaining anything... Good point DCash.

I think the C's are trying to use Wallaces contract for a big man and offer MLE to Reddick.

Since were dreaming with Morrow have GS throw in Ellis and the Lakers can solve their PG problem once and for all

For those who don't know, Morrow is widely regarded as the best young 3 pt shooter in the league.

Re $$, pretty sure the max Morrow can be offered is MLE (non-1st rdr RFA), none of this 7-8 stuff allowed.

On GsW matching, from their board and the trade board comments, perception is he is gone unless the offer is very lowball, due to their prospective sale of team. They don't want long term commits or large $ after '11-12 to help the sale go through (hence dumping Magette and shopping Monta and Biedrins).

An offer of 4yr/14m could get it done. Kobe's backup and 3pt threat needs filled!

Do it Mitch.

The Warriors ran off with Ronny a few years back now its time to get even. Anthony Morrow would be a good fit here. Not only do you get 3 point shooting that the Lakers can use without a doubt but you also get youth. I saw some people had concerns about Mike Millers age but with Anthony Morrow I don't think that would be a concern.

Sale or no sale of the Warriors I can't imagine the Warriors letting Morrow go to the Lakers. They'll get pressure from the rest of the league to match the Lakers offer sheet to him if he gets one.

Good to hear, but like dcash and others have said unlikely that Golden State doesn't match an offer sheet from the Lakers. As much as I love the Ebanks pick, it sucks that his biggest weakness is outside shooting and that is one of the key areas we need to upgrade this summer.

I think its worth a shot to test them though. If they match, so be it, just means Morrow doesn't go to a strong Laker competitor. If not, P&G.

Marrow can stroke the 3......he's a long guard, athletic and quick too. Doubt he lands with us though, we simply not trying to pay people...........which is the hand we're dealt with with 3 huge contracts handcuffing us.
