should we bring back kwame brown?

Post#1 » by popeye64821 » Thu Jul 8, 2010 9:41 pm

i personally would like a decent backup center for our team... dj is terrible and always fouls..... do you feel as though maybe kwame for the vet min is an upgrade over dj and can do a decent job just being a big body WHEN bynum goes down for an extended period of time AGAIN!....if you don't want him, then who else can/should we get? how about taking advantage of the grizz's generousityand trading sasha and someone else/pick for pau's little brother? oh yeah kobe and the lakers org has a man crush on sheshe

not sure about the rest of what you're talking about, but i'll answer your kwame question. yes, i prefer him over DJ and for the minimum I'm all for signing kwame. we need a solid defensive big man to come off the bench.

For the vet min? I like him slightly better than DJ.

Tmac- hmmm wish we could make him play in summer league to evaluate him.

Kwame would be great for the vet min. taking DJ's role on the team. Despite his problems when he was in LA he was our best defender on guys like KG and Duncan.
Thank you, Phil.

YES to Kwame!!! He provided the Wiz with Caron Butler and he gave Pau to us... maybe we can get LeBron for him next year. You'll never know!!

i'm not against kwame, but i also think we are kind of underrating DJs D. dude put up .6 blocks in 7 mins per last yr and 1 block in just 8 mins per game 2 years ago. i dont know if anyone gets more blocks per min than that.

granted, he does get into foul trouble, but we only ever need him out there for 10-15 mins per game MAX. i dare say his offense is light years ahead of kwame's.

DJ is a better team defender than Kwame. While Kwame is a good one on one defender, it's not likely he's going to defend against the duncans and howards coming off the bench.

please dj is all over the place, he has no agility at all....he's just a strong tall guy....i just would rather have someone with atleast some basic basketball skills and kwame does have some skill and i think kwame could thrive on a championship caliber team such as la while in a backup role getting 10-15 mins per game....atleast we wouldn't have to worry about sending the opposing center to the free throw line 4 times in 5 minutes

and i'd hate to say this....but this guy is constantly bashed and put down....if he gets a ship, and contributes a little during our 3peat, then maybe we can take away the term bust.....

Dj over kwame any day! just as a back up playing D/blocking shots. Hes also not a ball dropper, I refuse to watch kwame dropping point blank passes and never finishing layups.

what diff. would it make to have dj/kwame against Mia in that scenario? We could play Odom at C and still have an advantage.
