Things to Watch for:

Devin Ebanks: Will his mid-range jump shot continue to fall and can he continue to get wide open looks?

Derrick Caracter: Can he have his way inside against the smaller Nuggets and will he stay out of foul trouble?

Ibrahim Jaaber: Will he continue to run the team and distribute the ball with consistency when playing against Ty Lawson?

DJ Strawberry: Will he step up and shut down the explosive PG Ty Lawson and can he play in a more traditional PG role?

Gerald Green: This is possibly his last stand. Will he get a clue?

Devin Ebanks looks pretty damn solid!!!! Totally reminds me of Trevor Ariza. As far as Gerald Green goes, damnn, the guy is so athletic; too bad the guy just doesn't get it.

Yes - nice analysis.

I have been a big Green advocate...the Pistons game left a lot to be desired. I think he tried to make some good, smart, team plays, but was a split second slow and they did not work.

Perhaps he can turn it around and improve his timing against Denver. He really needs to not only play well, but dominate this level if he is going to reach the potential I think he has for the NBA.

I was very happy with Caracter and Ebanks for their first game. Hopefully, they keep it up. One advantage they do have over their teammates though is that you can see the Lakers are trying to feature them and understandably so.

Jabeer was a nice surprise to me. We'll see how he progresses.

Keep it up G=K!

I'm bummed I missed the first quarter. Looks like Lawson has caused Jaaber to pick up some fouls early?

So Jaaber is in foul trouble, has like 6 in the first half? Ebanks and Strawberry are actually playing good D.

Caracter looks like he is in GREAT physical cnodition. Him and Ebanks have a nice little two man game.

Coby Karl is owning Tyler Sanborn.

Also, Ebanks is taller than Caracter? Caracter just drove hard to the basket... He has good ball skills, definitely a small PF, but some SF ball skills.

You didnt miss much. None of the guys have shown anything new. Seems like they have just continued what they did yesterday. Ebanks hit a jumper and a three, Caracter has shown some post moves and usage of the left hand. Jabeer is foul prone all of a sudden but he is moving very well. Much better than Farmar and definitely better than Fish.

The team in general has not been able to get it going...no rythm, too many fouls and freethrows

Gerald green has had a few turnovers although he made a shot. Again, he shows he's no better than the rest and doesnt belong in the league

After that move, if Ebanks doesn't make the team, I will join the "FIRE MITCH!" bandwagon.

Yah. That surprised me alot. I didnt expect him(caracter) to be this short. For the style of play he has, i think this might hurt his effectiveness in the big league. He's just not going to be able to play like this in the Big Leagues.

I like the two-man thing. these guys should come off the bench for us. I think their game complements Lamar's game very well. Very Long EBanks and very long Lamar Odom with Chubby Big-baby-like Caracter...

I agree, the size of Odom will help compensate for the size of Caracter. Ebanks would fit in well slashing and just being involved in plays through hustle, if he keeps working on that 3 point shot and hits the weight room a bit, he'll be a full rotation player by next season.

I mean, this is summer league, but he is doing well guarding the quick guard Lawson and Coby Karl is an NBA caliber 10th man and Ebanks is owning his ass up and down the court.

That's gonna be wierd having a PF thats wayyyy taller than the Center....lol

Anyway I'd really hate to see Ebanks bulk up. I think Artest went that route and we've all seen how it turned out. Kobe tried it a few years ago and it didn't turn out well for him either. Right now Ebanks is exactly what Artest isn't and that's what we need to complement Artest at the SF position. We need that Ariza/Durant-like long-bodied quicker defender that can can shot with somewhat of a good first step.

I meant add 5 to 10 lbs haha, It looks like Ariza has at least 5 lbs on him and he is shorter according to Brent Barry.

Strawberry decided to play some defense? He is definitely a 2 guard though. I can't see him ever leading the Lakers offense.

I thought Caracter was supposed to have weight problems, but from what I see right now, he doesn't look a pound over weight.
