I want T-Mac or Miller

Yeah, he is injury prone, but if he comes at a low price, then why not?

We really don't have many more options. I mean, if that doesn't work, then we could aim for Brad Miller as Bynum's back up.

One of the two, and we'd be set for the season.

I'm for Tmac as well but how on earth do you plan on getting Brad Miller with our chump change, other teams can offer him more money?

Let's be realistic, it's looking like Kurt Thomas or Kwame for our big man

DJ'd be cheaper, and I'm afraid that's what the Lakers are looking to go now.

we need to make a serious push for tmac.

mix and match kobe/fisher/tmac/blake

our pg play has been improved, but only by like 5%...tmac is a high risk high reward..im all for him at this point

f*** brown, if we sign ebanks he can be our athletic guy at worst....he's taller and a better defender than brown, and can probably shoot just as well, if not, better than brown......brown sucks we do not need him back, sign tmac or barnes or maybe wesley mathews, idk just someone other than brown....all the guy can do is jump high and dunk.....

I will put 100 bucks on the fact that Lakers will not acquire Tmac. My gosh... quit the delusion!!
The guy almost made the allstar team last season and how many games did he play??

He flat out sells tickets. Yes he is a high risk high reward player. He flat out can put the ball in the paint if healthy. Do you really think Lakers are willing to match what other teams can offer Tmac?

Some of you guys need to get some patiences, free agency isn't a race to see who can eat the pie the fastest. Only one team so far has come at T-Mac and that's the Clippers, we probably would've gone and signed him already if the stigma of him wanting to be a starter wasn't there.

Guys like him and A.I are screwing themselves out of a chance to see a ring because they can't swallow a little pride and realize they can't be that effective for 35+ minutes every game anymore.

Bob McAdoo was one of the leagues greatest scores but in 1982 when he came to the Lakers he had a rep for being selfish and didn't want to do anything but score. But he wised up at age 30 and realized he wanted to win a championship.

He sacrificed being a starter in LA for a title, which he got in 82. the turning point was the 1980-81 season where he was traded twice after only playing in 16 games and suffering injuries. He had time to think, he knew he had that bad rep but he started saying all the right things.

Jerry West ran it by Kareem and he was good with it. These guys today don't think like McAdoo did, and it's the reason some are looking at the door about to close without a title.

last time i checked tmac said he only wanted 15-20 mins a game, and that he didn't want the burden of being the go-to guy anymore, mainly because it tears up his body....he said he wants a ring, and he wants to play with kobe more than any other player......mitch just doesn't want him i guess....maybe there's something up with tmac that we all don't know about....or maybe we are staying away because we don't think he'll be healthy, his injury problems along with bynum going down for an extended period of time at some point during this upcoming season could possibly put a hamper on our 3peat run.....i just hope bynum is healthy and can actually breakout into a consistantly decent player this yr.... but i don't know anyone is an upgrade of dj and shanon....

I wouldn't mind him at all. The guy really wants to play here and has made it clear about it. I was able to watch him play for the Knicks quite a few times and he can still shoot the ball and handle it well. His stamina is low but we wouldn't need him to play many mins anyway,

I say get him while we can. He isn't asking for a fat contract so let's put him on board.

Tmac has to TRY-OUT! for the Clipps, now imagine that, the CLIPP! mind you, a team who will sign a bunch of dleague scrubs just to fill their roster but yet wont even take a blind faith in Tmac w/o seeing him on the court 1st. They sign B. Cook, probably one of the worse bigs out there w/o much though and its not like Tmac wants a big payday, 3-4mill will get done.

U really think A.I is that washed up? He averaged 15ppg last season in the worst shape of his career, with no pre-season, a bum knee and dude even retired for 2 months; all this and he still played decent basketball in Philly. IMO he was far from terrible last season and I bet if u ask Sixers fans they'll tell u the same.

McGrady was way worse in New York and that was in a high scoring system and he was in great shape physically, sure his knee's weren't great but he was working out with Tim Grover and he still played like garbage.

A.I would have been a very nice addition to the Lakers had Shannon Brown not been resigned. He had good chemistry with Blake in Denver. But now that Browns more than likely back on the Lakers then the Lakers probably have no interest in Iverson. It's a shame would loved to have seen A.I come off the bench for the Lakers and have a chance to contend for a ring.

For the vet's min, i'd bet on T-Mac, he'd be a 3rd string G/F with 10-15 mins a game. Low risk high reward if signed for the vet min. Miller is out of our league unless he wants our near $1.8M left from MLE, which i highly doubt. Kurt Thomas would be solid!!!
