Lakers Roster:

2 DJ Strawberry (6-5 G)
3 Devin Ebanks (6-9 F)
4 Derrick Caracter (6-9 F/C)

7 Ibrahim Jaaber (6-2 G)
8 Gerald Green (6-8 F)
31 Rob Kurz (6-9 F)
34 Ben McCauley (6-9 F)
10 Cecil Brown (6-4 G)
32 Frank Robinson (6-4 G)
15 Tyler Sanborn (6-10 C)
44 Courtney Sims (6-11 C)

Spurs Roster:

45 DeJuan Blair
47 Michael Cuffee
30 Bryan Davis
18 Eric Dawson
35 Alonzo Gee
10 James Gist
5 Curtis Jerrells
8 Carldell Johnson
14 Josh Lomers
0 Dwayne Mitchell
31 Gary Neal
2 Garrett Temple
27 Tyler Wilkerson

Things to Watch for:

Devin Ebanks: How will he bounce back after two mediocre games? Can he hit shots again and rebound against the Spurs?

Derrick Caracter: This is his last time to shine before training camp, can he post up one final double double and dominate inside against the spurs. It is a shame Dejuan hasn't been playing in summer league.

DJ Strawberry: DJ has moved up to the third most likely to make the team in my books. Will he be able to hit some knock down threes and continue to run the offense with efficiency?

Ibrahim Jaaber: Will he play?

Gerald Green: Can he play in the offense and get another dunk?

Courtney Sims: He plays a lot. I think the Lakers are trying to fill up the rest of there roster with summer league spots. Sims had a solid game last time out, lets see if he can fill up the stat sheet again.

NBA.com Rookie Rankings:
Derrick Caracter: 2 (Previously 1)
Devin Ebanks: 4 (Previously 3)

WHO WILL WIN THE ROSES AND GET AN INVITE TO TRAINING CAMP?

G=K, we can always count on you for this.

Gist isn't bad. And Blair? Nice for SA. I wonder if Green is changing anyone's mind yet.

Gist is one of there leading scorers, Blair hasn't played in either of San Antonio's games yet and Green isn't changing peoples minds.

Except for Ebanks, Caracter and DJ this Laker summer squad is simply awful. I actually feel bad for those three because the rest bring down the entire quality of the game.

Actually Frank Robinson is pretty solid and Jaaber was helpful. The biggest hole was bigs, after Sims and Tyler "D3 All Star" Sanborn, we were small. Also the Kings and Nuggs had great players on there team.

Word is Jaaber signed with an Euroleague team, so he is off our roster.

I still think we should have tried to scoop up Jon Scheyer or Scottie Reynolds.

I'm aware, but I think we had a chance to get one had we busted ass to make an offer as soon as possible. I think both would have been great fits for our team.

after my initial high, further viewing of his play made me pretty lukewarm about Jaaber. He doesn't stand out enough to make the Lakers even if he didn't sign with Euroleague.

I just never got the feeling anyone could hit a long range jump shot with any consistency or pass very well but probably have not been able to pay as close attention as I would have liked. I know in the Knicks game their length killed us so I agree bigs were definitely an issue there.

Summer league just has so many turnovers it makes everyone look kinda sloppy.

^^ cool thx. Any idea if Caracter is leading SL in FG% (wih 30 + min per game)?

Ebanks REALLY needs to rebound better for his size and athleticism.

Carcter with a good pass to start, Sims with a nice play - Gerald Green with the start in Jaaber's spot.

No - off the top of my head I think I saw JJ Hickson with something close to 70%.

Ebanks is out early again... I feel like that if Buss could, our whole bench would be summer league players haha.

Caracter went off the wrong foot and switched hands in the air then finished with the left one while under pressure. Damn.

I feel like no one sees this thread up here.

Sanborn just over compensated defensively on that pick an roll before it was even set and thus the Spurs scored. He has a LOT to learn.

Green started today and was in full chuck mode.

6 shots in 7 mins of action, only 2 shots for caracter and none for ebanks in the first quarter.
