We got Kobe and Ron. Miami has LeBron and Wade. I don't think the other 28 teams come close. So who do you think guys?

Battier/Ariza is pretty good... Jackson/Wallace also

Battier/Ariza is good but do they play at the same time? Ariza conmes off the bench when Kevin Martin is healthy right?

Jackson and Wallace are a pretty good one. They might be the best. I havent watch Jackson defense as of late, but Wallace might be the best perimeter defender in the league now.

Paul Pierce and Rondo would be a really good duo.

Yep! When it comes to toughness and smarts. But Wade and LeBron has the agility and athleticism.

I agree with you on that, Lebron defense is overrated as well as Kobe's. They are not defenders who constantly play great defense throughout the game but in spurts. Artest, Wallace and players like Prince and Bowens in the past were players who constantly play top notch defense. But if you put Kobe next to Artest that is a great duo, like Lebron nest to Wade. The question wasnt posed who were the best individual defenders but the best duo.

it was more like Wallace and Felton because Jax was always busy complaining and talking with the refs

I would say Kobe/Artest if Kobe gave his all on defense more often. I honestly think that Kobe is a Top 2-3 defender in the NBA when he is giving his full effort at that end, but he doesn't and he doesn't because he conserves his energy for the offensive side. Jordan would do the same thing in the 2nd 3-peat years. I might have to give the credit to Ariza/Battier more because they both give it their all more often than Kobe does.

These should be the Top 3 in no order

Kobe/Artest
Ariza/Battier
Jackson/Wallace

I have no comment for Lebron James, simply because I'm very biased against him ever since he went to Miami.

You just had a laker fan above say the same thing. You cant give full credit if he is only giving a level of play thru short stretches. Kobe, Wade and Lebron are all about the same level, because they do not consistant play defense at a high level thru out a game.

Its not horrible, just not elite. Wade man to man is probably better than Kobe and Lebron. I think Wade is better defender than both Lebron and Kobe over all. Agian all three do not play consistantly thru out a game.
