Seeing twitter reports, looks like Barnes to Toronto... figured, but good for him as far as money and PT. Sign Shannon and bring in a back up big like Mbenga or Kurt Thomas. Doubt we get the Lin guy.

I don't trust that guy enough for the title to be worthy, so I altered it.

btw I really don't care if we do or don't get Barnacles. He makes Sasha look like a good sport

not really that high on him,so this news doesn't really sting or anything.good for him if he can get a nice piece of change and more playing time.

How is Toronto a contender? They have no one now that they Chris Bosh left and they traded Turkoglu for Barbosa

I stumbled on a Youtube video of all "The best fights of 09/10 in the NBA" and Barnes was in most of them... Hell... Almost ALL of them... He won "Fighter of the year in the NBA" according to the clip.

I'm all for scrappy, hard-nosed D... And to be fair, Fish was in quite a few of the clips too...

But it just seemed like most of Barnes' altercations didn't have a whole lot to do with the game... They were just kind of random...

I was high on him before that, but the clip made me start having second thoughts...

It really did not matter on the Lakers side. We do not have the money he wanted. I bet in the 4 million a year range. I still wonder what Shannon will get. Maybe a longer term deal with more at the end of the deal. Not sure he will get more that 2 plus this season. Hope he does what he needs for his family. We need him. He is 24 or so and we so need youth on this team.

If he's getting 9-10 M/2 years that's not going to help our negotiations with Shannon.
