I still think he could have huge potential with our team. Can fill in 1-3, hit the 3, create his own shot, and setup both bigs and wings... Not too much pressure, not too many mins, is friends with Kobe and Ron who will both force him to work hard...

I really hope we get him, just for the possibility of what he could be again. Even if he doesn't pan out much it doesn't hurt us a whole lot. Barnes would give us a nice physical presence that can rebound and hit the 3, Shannon is athletic and could still improve... but just the potential of TMac could be exciting...

If the Clips are involved then winning clearly is not the priority.

I like him but I'm just worried about his health issues. Every time they guy gets fouled when attacking the basket we are going to get scared that he might be hurt. I still think in this situation Barnes might be the better option. Hes been a role play all his life and that is what the Lakers need. T Mac might try to do too much and it could hurt the team.

Fisher/Blake
Kobe/Sasha
Artest/Barnes/Walton/Ebanks
Gasol/Odom/Caracter
Bynum/Vet C

I call that a good off season. Blake and Barnes would give the bench a new and improved look.

We have no money to offer to him. I see this as a mute point. He is not going to play for under 2 million. He is only 31, same age as Kobe. I see the Suns or Clips as his best option.

the only time i hear about tmac to the lakers is when he mentions them. haven't heard a single report of the lakers being interested in them.
