NO LOVE FOR SHAQ/AI THIS SUMMER?

Post#1 » by Kobe System » Sat Jul 24, 2010 6:03 pm

Man, i really would love to have Shaq back and give him a chance to redeem himself or end his historic career on a good note. But the signing of Theo Ratliff makes it very impossible now. Also. what ive notice is no one is trying to sign AI even for a vet minimum. What happened to this NBA Legends? :-?

They got old but their egos won't allow them to accept lesser roles or less money.

There's a way to age gracefully in the NBA (Grant Hill), and then there's the Shaq and AI way.

shaq a laker is ok theo can back up the pigs like pau,lo,bynum, shaq that will be the deepest frontcourt of the nba dont kno if any one can handel that tandem.

ai will have to accept a bench role for a contender likes magic miami etc. his carrer is winding down he needs to shut up n do the right thing they both need to for that matter.

What happened with Shaq and the Lakers is well documented but lets be honest, we wont win a single championship on our threepeat without him. I doubt if we even reach the Finals.

No. The only reason to add him is to sell tickets - we don't need to worry about that.

Man come off the " let's feel sorry for Shaq drama". And your statement about not even getting to the Final is the most ridiculous concoction of a thought I've ever seen.

You do realize this franchise has moved on from Shaq ?

You do realize that every team Shaq has been on the last 4 years have crashed and burned ?

You do realize that Shaq has burnt bridges every where he's been?

You do realize no team is going to accommodate him or change the way they play for him ?

You do realize we've won 2 championships WITHOUT Shaq right ?

You do realize we've been to 3 straight Finals WITHOUT Shaq right ?

Man I don't know what world of basketball you've been watching, but this team and some guys here have moved on from "Drama Daddy".

Understand this man.........We Don't Need Shaq.

It's a reason he's not signed yet............think about why then get back and try to fully explain it.

My guess is Jay thought he meant this current chase for a 3-peat. At least I hope Black Mamba II didn't mean this three peat...

You know what man I totally mis read your post I quoted you on. I thought you were talking about us needing him now. Yeah without him during his time here we don't win nothing.......I think almost everybody will acknowledge that.

But that said I don't feel one bit sorry for him, this is what happens when karma comes back to bite that ass. And when it bites it stings.........he's practically begging for Boston to pick him up. And his people are talking S&T.......nobody is going to S&T for a 38 year old player period.
