Agreed. We've said over and over again how perfect a PG he would be in the Triangle. Plays tough defense, is a big guard (6'4) for the one, and can handle the ball well. I really don't see why Mitch wouldn't take a gamble on this guy. We would be stacked at every spot basically if West signs. Look:
PG: Derek Fisher/Steve Blake/Delonte West
SG: Kobe Bryant/Shannon Brown/Sasha Vujacic
SF: Ron Artest/Matt Barnes/Devin Ebanks
PF: Pau Gasol/Lamar Odom/Matt Barnes
C: Andrew Bynum/Pau Gasol/Theo Ratliff
Plus, if Luke can't play this season, we could sign both he AND Shannon.
The roster limit is 15 players right? Then we'd be finished for the summer.
PG: Derek Fisher/Steve Blake/Delonte West

He's probably gonna be bought out, perhaps eating his contract at 3 or 2 mil. Would he sign for vet min though to make up the rest? That's the big question because he could probably go out and get even more money.

A solid 3 point shooter and better defender than both Blake and fisher, delonte would be great for the lakers, for the sole reason of getting to lebron's head in the finals

If Delonte didn't have mental issues he'd be a perfect fit for the Lakers. However the issues are bad enough to the point I wouldn't want him.

I thought he was still with the cavs. Well either way, we are pretty full at point with Blake and Fisher. If we could do a sign and trade with Sasha. I would do it.

West pleaded guilty in Maryland earlier this month to weapons charges. He was sentenced to eight months of home detention with electronic monitoring, two years of unsupervised probation, 40 hours of community service and psychological counseling.
Prosecutors said that the sentence would allow West to attend practices and travel to NBA games as his team's schedule requires, but NBA officials are reviewing the case for possible further discipline.

Uh yeah Delonte would mad awesome on the Lakers Phil would have him meditating and Delonte's craziness would just float away.
