Troy Murphy? Rumor is Indiana wants to trade him. He ave 14 and 10, is a MUCH better shooter than Lamar, would be perfect coming off the bench as a sixth man spark plug, dude is 6'11 and can shoot, rebound, all as good or better than Lamar. I'd do it in a second.

Nope. No need to change one of the key pieces in regards to our size, and no need to break up the back to back champs.

that's kinda how i see it. nothing against murphy's game but odom's shown a good fit and i like that he's quicker than most pfs......................also he has the triangle down and it usually takes a new player at least a year to pick it up

Lamar hurts us more than helps us most nights at this point in his career, we NEED more scoring from our bench, we NEED a more consitant player night in night out off the bench. Oh well, just a thought, I know Kobe'd never allow it, but I think it would be an upgrade.

The second unit should be better now that Farmar is gone. LO is a play maker and a rebounder, he knows his roll.

not a bad suggestion but it's kind of hard to tinker with a core player of a team that's been to the finals three years in a row. murphy is a big expiring though

Naw......I'd pass on Murph. Yeah LO goes on his "what the hell is he doing" modes alot, but his versatility would be sorely missed. I don't see Troy as that man. Nothing personal Magicontinues just my opinion. Troy is good but he'd be a piece I'd like to have with LO still in the fold.........yeah I'm greedy like that.

I agree with you magicontinues.... It's funny when it comes to LO, people got more excuses then somebody going to jail on why we shouldn't trade him. But when it comes to andrew bynum we would trade him quick for a sack of hot rocks and rice.

Nope.. lo is a winner... accepted the bench role, great fit. His rebounding and bringin the ball up court is SOO underrated. Plus at much as i hate to admit but lo's 3p been more accurate.

With Farmar gone the only other player that can change the tempo we play is LO. Trading him for Murphy makes just no sense to me. LO is much more valuable than a measly 4 points more per game.

other than shooting I don't see the guy having any advantage over lamar. so hell NO!

Yes I would. I'm tired of Mr up & down. I'd like to see someone come in here with comparable skills & see if they can show up night in & night out.

lamar's ability to play pick n roll defense is invaluable. having troy murphy out there leaves the lakers way too un-athletic.

That and his rebounding is greatly needed. I don't know if Murphy can still pull down that many rebounds if he has to play with Gasol and Bynum. The Pacers were one of the worst rebounding team in the league, and it's not difficult to pull 10 boards a game when your second best rebounder only averages 5.7 boards a game with a PER 36 of 8.2 boards.

Let's not forget athleticism is one of our weaknesses.

I keep LO. He rebounds and runs the tri well. Yes he is not the high fly act and he does have some lapse in his game. Got to remember he fits what they want him for. There are more plus than minus in the over all plan. Plus if any one gets hurt in the starting line up. He can step right in.
