Which Season from Kobe has been your favorite?

For me, it would be the season he won the MVP (2007-2008). I thought he was really dominant throughout the entire season, from beginning to end.....that includes the playoffs. I thought he really dominated in the Playoffs, I don't really blame for the loss to the Celtics in the Finals. The Celtics were just the tougher and better team then, not to mention the Lakers didn't have Bynum in that series. I also liked that sick shooting sleeve he wore.

My Top 3 favorite seasons from Kobe..

2. 2005-2006
3. 2008-2009

I hope he can get the MVP again next season, maybe that will surpass the 2007-2008 Season for me.

02-03 for me he was a beast defensively could lockdown the best player on the other team while dropping 30+ a night without breaking a sweat

05-06 for me, he really carried the team on his back the whole season and basically put on a show for the whole season for the fans. It was also the first season where I really felt Kobe was the best player in the league.

For me
1.2008-2009 won a ring, played great basketball as a leader on and off the court. His understanding of the game is at his peak(just like last year).
2. 2000-2001 This is just for his great playoffs and a great playoffs series against a strong Spurs team. He was so good. This was his first superstar season
3. 2005-2006. This is where he did not have a strong team but did show out his skills and avg 35pts. He was just great that season.
4. 2009-10 Won a ring. He had so many inj but still played hard. He had 6 game winners in the reagular season and afther game 4 against Thunder he took of in the playoffs(the Utah and Suns series were great).
5. 2007-2008 MVP season
6. 2002-2003 Great season but there was somthing missing.
7. 2001-2002 Secound superstar season

Yeah that was a terrific season, the 62 points in 3 quarters, outscoring the Mavericks was more impressive to me than the 81 point game.

05-06 I enjoyed the most. I felt like the team was really bad and he gave the lakers a purpose and a chance. Not to mention the absolute ROBBERY of his first true MVP award that year

the last three. i always knew kobe could throw up great scoring numbers and play great defense,but to put it all together and win rings is what's it's all about. i have felt he was the best player in the game since 03',but i was a little skeptical about his leadership,but he proved that he has what it takes to not only be the best but to help other players play their best also. i am really enjoying the kobe of the last few years,and now with guys like fisher,pau and ron you have guys that are not mentally weak,and they can raise their game along with kobe.

01 was great, that was when he really became a superstar

03 really made us wonder what he could do with his own team... He was amazing that year

08 was great to watch because he finally had a good team that we could call his own and showed how far he could take a good team and win the MVP that was long overdue

09 was fun to watch, but I think most of us Laker fans knew were confident that we would win it all that year... nothing really surprising


I think I have to go with 06 overall... He was just unstoppable and tackling impossible feats.. That team was truly terrible...

01 and 03 were amazing years which still makes me wonder what kind of numbers he would have put up without sharing with Shaq (37 ppg??). I think that he was best at 03 but I liked 06 more as he was given free reign and unleashed the scoring that was held back during the Shaq years. I feel like Kobe's athleticism has diminished since then.

For me 02-03 because I feel that was him at the peak of his physical prime and he was just unbelievable every night and that was when he made it clear he was the best player in the league.

The guy was absolutely dominant. If you look at everyone else that surrounded him, this was the Lakers starting line-up and rotation.

Like, come on. And he lead us to a record of 8 wins over .500? He was phenomenal. 62 in three quarters, 81 points, five 50 point games, and didn't he have that crazy streak of like 6 straight games over 45 points? To think of how great that season was and actually how underrated it went is absolutely unheard of. Didn't he finish 4th in MVP voting? Are you kidding me? He almost lead the team into the second round.
