Hou,NJ, NO, Indy trade done and trade call taking place now, source tells Y!. Hou gets C Lee, NO gets Ariza, Indy Collison-Posey, NJ Murphy

I'm surprised the Hornets gave up Collison to get Ariza but at least they were able to dump Posey. I still like to watch Trevor whenever I can. Ariza and CP3 should be exciting to watch on the break.

I dont understand why Hou did this trade, Ariza is much more polished and better then Lee, is Hou getting anymore compensated?

I guess they 1. anticipate CP3 staying for a while, and 2 wanted to get rid of Posey's bad contract.

dumb trade for the Nets and Rockets, Nets need depth at the 2 and they let a 2 go. Rockets need Ariza because the have Kmart running the 2. Makes no sense for both of those teams although the Nets may allow D. Harris to run the two while our boy Farmar plays the starting point. hmmmmmmm

p.s Ariza dodged a bullet opening night

No it will be Battier that will do a great job for them.

p.s great trade for the Nets. They need a PF (the rookie will still get min).

Totally Agree. Good trade all around. Houston dumps salary and get an expiring Court Lee in return...IMO i think he is a serviceable fella. NO gets someone exciting on the fast break and dumps Collison to show CP3 that they are committed to working with him.

INdy has been looking for a very solid PG since Jesus walked he earth.... But with the loadup of SG/SF players, taking on Posey was just what had to be done, and btw this move will end up costing them some serious money in future... New jersey gets a fat fat fat expiring contract. i suspect they will trade it before the deadline.

Now what do the Hornets do if CP3 bolts for New York City?

Collison started 36 games and avg 19/9 while being efficient shooting 48% and 42% from 3PT line. If i traded him it would be something better than ariza.

Rockets should have just sent Ariza to us for Sasha's expiring.

Fisher/Blake
Kobe/Brown/Barnes
Artest/Ariza/Barnes
Odom/Gasol
Bynum/Theo

Agree completely.

Indy made out like bandits here and NO got squat for a very talented young PG on a rookie contract.

Ariza was terrible last season for Houston, his trade value should be very low at this point in his career. I think alot of Laker fans here are thinking of Ariza as the player who was great for us in 09, back then this would of been considered a better deal for NO.

If I'm Chris Paul this fuels my desire to be traded or leave as a FA, bad move by their front office.
