DJ Mbenga Appreciation Thread

Well, according to the wiretap the Lakers aren't expected to resign DJ. I guess it was apparent after we signed Theo, but I'm definitely going to mis him.
No more Tacos!, Congo Cash, and the 7 feet black belt specialist from Zaire.

Sorry if there has already been a thread on this.

The guy falls in the category of the likes of mad dogg and other lovable laker characters. but other then that, the guy was a black hole of no return. i still give him lots of credit, CC played physical d, like the time when he had 8 blocks in a single game.

With DJ and Jordan gone our average ear size has cut in half.
Peace DJ - hope you get some money money and keep doing what you do.

DJ will be missed, he was a crowd favorite and despite the jokes you know his teammates had respect for him. I'll never forget seeing the vid of him and Chris Mihm fighting in practice and then Mihm being traded less than a week later.

Ratliff is a better defender and a better overall center. It was a good move by the Lakers.

Highlights of Ratliff in the first round against Cleveland.

he should play here in the Philippines, he'll be beastin' here. professional players here lack in size but are physical and skilled. ask Glen Rice, Gary Payton, Mich Richmond and Chris Webber who witnessed a barage of threes from a 47 year old local legend name Allan Caidic aka "The Triggerman".

DJ will definitely be missed, not really for his play, although he did have a couple very nice games. I think he had like 12 and 10 one game. But i always loved how the crowd reacted when he got in and touched the ball. Every team needs one of those kinda guys lol. Mbenga was a class act.

C'mon it's a Mbenga appreciation thread, why put him down?
Going to miss his hustle, and the humor he brought to us.

Oy Pinoy! I did not watch the game... I think DJ is going to be way too big for our players here...

If the current wiretap is true, then there will be a definite power shift in the west
