Kobe's finger, overall health status?

Post#1 » by b shaw20 » Sat Aug 28, 2010 11:34 pm

Any news on whether Kobe finally got surgery on finger or did he decide to live with it as is?

His game has drastically become perimeter oriented and him using the penetration and dunk to demoralize defenders is practically gone. I hope he decided to have the surgery so he can get his attack mode at the rim back into his arsenal.

And his knee is no longer an issue I hope. Anyone got the 411 on his finger and knee?

Get over the demoralizing opponents dunking thing. He stopped doing that 2 years ago and killing them in the post is his mentality now. Driving and dunking at will will shorten his career.

No Surgery. Im guessing its okay. Kobe defines so much of what we say as fans. If hes on the court than he can play. Like Kobe said, Im not going to run through a brick wall, if I can play, imao play.

His offensive game is that much more effective when he doesn't settle for jumpers is all I'm saying. Last year I have to believe was due to his finger. Even his dunks were weak...

As far as dunking shortening his career, eventually yeah. But not now. His tank is not even close to being empty.

This means we all get to live with low shooting percentages then. It's impossible to get in the zone when you can't get a "feel" for the rock, especially if he becomes a one trick pony ( difficult perimeter shots)

If we utilize Kobe in the post more this year he can put up beastly numbers on higher efficiency I'm so glad Kobe has his fundamentals to fall back on

i havent heard squat about his finger, i just hope he gets it right or he just learns to deal with it to the fullest and it wont hamper his ability to put the ball in the basket.

I called you yesterday! Your phone had a goofy dial tone so I figured you were out of the country. I did leave a message, though.

I've been transferring all of my videotapes to DVD, remeniscing about the good old days. Among other things, I'm pretty sure I have the only 15-foot jump shot in Shaq's career.

Yea, i'm in Argentina now getting ready to go see Boca Juniors v Velez. Should be crazy atmosphere...

I'll ring you later..... Btw, I got several tapes including some classics (I think you may have some of my 80s collection) sitting in my closet. Id mail them to you if you want to put on dvd but gotta figure out postage costs. I know I have kobe's 3 pt shooting record and his outburst vs MJ and Wiz.

You getting back online for 2k? I'll show you pain.....which btw, was originally quoted by Vince in the hustler, referring to his cue.

"it's like like a nightmare isn't it? It keeps getting worse and worse."

Yea he is, but just got back on the team (injury or some crap). He was on the tele talking bout how he looks fwd to playing under new mgr. Doubt he plays today though.

I'm an Arsenal fan and just going for the spectacle of it. Don't know as much in Arg futbol, but enough to know who the key players are ( eg Palermo, Rique)

He was always slow but he could have been really good in the Italian league, sort of like Pirlo. Too bad he didn't stick around long enough.

Don't get mugged. Seriously, though, I'm jealous. Not the soccer, but the city. Always wanted to go to Buenos Aires. Maybe when I start getting raises again and I don't have to worry about getting laid off.

Yeah, those two games would be awesome. Shoot them out, and I'll send them back with the other ones.

There is one classic you won't forget -- your grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary, which you taped over with a Lakers game.

If that's not a fan, I don't know what is.

I doubt I did that on purpose, you know how I feel abt my gramps...

Save your money and let's go to Brazil, Vegas or Amsterdam. Trust, Argentina is not for you... The match was pretty rad. There were dozens of stormtrooper riot police ready to throw down outside the stadium. Velez nearly tied it at the end and had they done that, heads would have rolled for sure. We had to trot to our driver just to avoid being trampled under foot, Led style.

I'll send you everything I have and you send me copies of Dvds and get back into 2k, to give me some of that ass.

Kobe can play with the finger its bad knees that slows him down, and he had surgery on that so he'll be fine.
