Thanks B. Shaw.
Now I am gonna have to call in sick for work tomorrow because I'll be playing a 1 quarter demo all day. LoL! Just Kidding.
I did call in sick last season for 2K10 patiently waiting for my 10th anniversary special locker package to be delivered by UPS. LoL!
I love this Game!

Wow, not the game I played growing up as a teen. Those were the ones that were fun but just could only do so much with. Plus I loved to shoot three pointers with all the players. Guess that would show why the scores sucked so much.

Just got done playing the demo for about 2 hours.
2K11 is a great Game . Similar to 2K10 but newer dunks, pivot moves, blocks, rebounding, and passing. Same graphics but a smoother transition .
Oh yeah they also got the Nike Kobe Zoom 6 in there also.
Pretty much how they do ever new 2K year.
Alot of people said 2K10 was the most realistic basketball video game ever, well not anymore.
Just like every new season 2K finds a way to improve a game which was A+ already in alot of gamers eyes.
GREAT GAME!
If you want to use Steve Blake , Foul out D. Fish.
If you want to use Matt Barnes , Foul out Ron Ron .
For Shannon , foul out Kobe.
For Lamar, Foul out Pau.
For Theo , Foul out Drew.
Steve Blake and Kobe together in the backcourt is Beast!
October 5th is the actual release! 3 more weeks!

Kali, thx for the tip on how to get Blake some playing time (didn't think of that)..
My first impressions are that the game will be an upgrade over 2k10 (but the main course is yet to come (online)). However, I noticed some ares in need of improvement:
- walking ball up the court animation is crouched, instead of relaxed when walking like in 2K10 (wtf?)
- can't seem to make a jump pass
- can't inbound to player under basket without turning it over
I'm nitpicking but I know this game should be tight if they improve online menus and really penalize the quitters.
btw - if you or anyone is on ps3 and wanna run, add me (bigdaddy812). I am having a quick online league to conclude before 2K11 is released and I may need a couple of players/owners.

i dunno like bshaw20 said I nit pick as well. I abhor the fact that they introduce things and then leave them out in the next installment. For example contesting shots. You once could put your hands in the man you're guarding face. I know it hardly ever worked to defend the basket but it was always a great last ditch effort at defense. I think they brought it back in 2k10 in a lesser form. But before it was really annoying because your only option was to attempt a steal or leap for a block which usually lead to being out of position; allowing the man you're guarding to blow right past you.
- No jump pass? Um no good.
- can't inbound to player under basket without turning it over? Worse!
- walking ball up the court animation is crouched, instead of relaxed? LAME!
All easy fixes hope they don't rush this one out the door. Being that Jordan likeness and name will be gracing the cover and all I really hope it lives up to the quality that you expect from his endorsed products.
For examples HANES underwear, good stuff! HAHA!

I agree B Shaw with the Online part.
That will be the final judgment on how this game will be graded.
I play online 95% of my NBA 2K gaming .
I have been playing NBA2K ONLINE only since NBA2K8.
Been playing NBA2K since the beginning on Sega Dreamcast with Allen Iverson on the cover. LoL
Well from my online experiences going back to 2K8 ( Chris Paul Cover) there server is the worst . There will be times when the server goes out.
Yes they created a new server since 2K9 which is a tiny upgrade I must say.
I used to be on the 2K forums alot and it's the same issues every year .
But when the server is fully working it's as smooth as a Lamar Odom finger roll.
As for the NBA
2K10 server right now at this moment, it's currently down.
It normally takes no more than 24 hours to get back up and running. Just sucks because I wanted to get a game in before I head to work.
My online record is 255 wins and 42 losses. I mainly use the Lakers and Grizzlies. LoL

Good input.
I was really looking forward to 2K11 coming out (the concept of using the 96 Bulls is intriguing), and I was hoping they would add some new things (specifically, new commentary, and maybe even a photo for every player on an NBA roster. It's kind of bogus that players like Omri Cassspi and Jeff Teague don't have pics), but I am slightly tempted by the concept of NBA Elite 11, if only because you can play the updated version of NBA Jam on Elite (Lakers players include Kobe, Odom, Ron Ron, Pau, Worthy and Magic Johnson). I guess we'll see....

Do your research before you consider Elite...
After what I've seen and read, I'm not convinced Elite can challenge 2k. It's not even close right now, but that's just me.
To be honest, i was hoping someone would put 2ks feet to the fire and make them get their **** together in terms of online servers. We wont know for a few weeks but i am hoping they have taken a huge step in the right direction. The fact that a few scrubs have no pics is the least of my concerns.

Well its pretty obvious the company that was putting 2K together was all in all a bit lazy and they have passed that culture down to the new people in control of the franchise. They are just simply lazy. I know it takes a lot of work and this and that.
The real problem is everyone still goes out and buy the game. Last year was the absolute worst I've ever seen in a game release. It was just mad stupid how the released an unfinished game. HAHAHA! The real 2K insider area has that EVER worked? Just sad...
If 2K wasn't so lazy and put in the effort that the folks who put out all the Call of Duty stuff the game would rule. Elite would just close up shop.
EA Sports OMG where do I begin? The comparison is like Pony to Nike! When will EA stop making market fillers and start making real BBALL Games. Follow Madden hulloo! Wow...

Omg.
For anyone who is considering Elite I guarantee a huge disappointment.
I know peoples opinions especially on the internet will not really make you change your mind on it so I suggest you rent it before you buy it.
I'm not raggin on EA Basketball. I used to be a Live player back in the days.
1996 NBA Live with a Young Kobe and Shaq.
2003 NBA Live with Jason Kidd on the cover wasn't too bad either.
After that the Live series just went downhill dramatically as 2K continued to dominate.
In this new NBA LIVE aka NBA ELITE they couldn't make it more cartoony.
Carlos Boozer can take off from the free throw line.

2K11 demo, Liked it, didn't love it, for sure better than 2K10, but I want to give Elite 11 a chance. I'm a live fan, but got 2K last two years. No Elite doesn't have 2K's amazing animations, but it's supposed to be really unique all on the sticks. I believe no pure animations, movement is based on physics in some way.
2K online is horrible. Why? Because 2K's #1 flaw is paint abuse. You can't tell from this 4 minute video if that's been fixed or not. Everyone tells me how great 2K is and how you can do all these great moves and the spacing is better, you can run plays much better, blah blah but then those same peeps go online and force shots in the paint. What do all the new changes matter if that's all these cats do?
Elite 11 is going to drop a full complete demo with tutorial options, unlike 2K's 4 minute stripped down demo. Elite 11's demo is expected to drop this month, so that means either next Tuesday or the following Tuesday.
So annoying that 2K the clear leader in the industry can't make a demo a little longer. 4 minutes you barey get warm.
Kalidog that's before they put the ratings in I believe. Artest did the Jordan from the FT line dunk as well prior to rating being implemented.
I've talked to people that have played the game at their EA events and they say you gotta try it, because videos don't do it justice, 2K's animations will win you on the videos but not as much as Elite will on the sticks.
Kalidog I love how you figured out real quick as well how to sub guys I did the same. I played with Blake, he may be slower than Fish, lol. Funny you use the Griz I love using the Griz. I just rain from three all game with the three headed monster (Gay,Mayo, & my boy Cons) I don't even use the Lakers, they aren't that fun to use IMO. I'm always playing against the same 5 teams and I know they're like damn' wait this guy shoots? No fn' way! By then it's too late since all they know how to do is force shots int he paint.
BTW Amazon has a $10 gift card with purchase of either game and release date shipping for only .99C. Both games are out Oct. 5th.

Is the pick & roll button different on 360? I play 2k10 on PS3 and DL'ed this demo on my 360 and noticed it's LB, not circle/B. Also, the guy setting the pick doesn't roll to the basket for me, just keeps running to the weak side.

I'm looking forward to the elite demo but I doubt I'll even rent the full game.
