"I hate the Lakers" - Deron Williams

Hate is such a strong word.
But it’s the one Jazz poet Deron Williams uses to put a wrap on his feelings about the Los Angeles Lakers — as in, I hate those guys!, or, more precisely, I hate those %#$@&$% guys! — and … who can blame him?
Kobe and the Lakers have given the ubercompetitive Williams the heave-ho in each of the past three postseasons, dashing his dreams without giving so much as a sniff of respect in return. Only defeat and elimination.
The playoff record over that span: 12 losses, three wins, a hundred sleepless nights.
Williams has had his fill.
“I hate ’em, you know,” he said the other day. “I hate the Lakers. They’re so good. I hate them because they win all the time. They’re a tough team. … We definitely talk about it. It’s not a secret. We hate the Lakers.”
The new Jazz team sobriquet: Laka Hatas.
It was the great Shakespeare — wasn’t it? — who wrote: “In time we hate that which we often fear.”

nothing new, he has said that before. he even made a couple of videos making fun of the Lakers a while back.
bet you he wouldn't hesitate to play for us if he had the chance though.

On the way to a championship, the Lakers will step on some dreams. Big brother is alway beating little brother.
I was the little brother for so many years. Then I got better and now I win most of the games. Some day the Jazz will win. Might be 2014.
Jazz ran into the same thing with the Bulls. They went to the finals and then lost to MJ and his teams.
Someone has to loose. Just you never want it to be you.

Good to see there's still players that believe in rivalries. Between all the Bron-Wade-Bosh circle jerk this is kind of refreshing to hear that we are still as hated as we used to be.
Its good to hear other teams desperate to knock us off the perch.

I know Deron's comments will annoy some Lakers fans, but I love to see him get competitive and dislike the team that has knocked him out. It's how the game should be.

And there's nothing wrong with what Deron's saying. This isn't a "I despise you" hate. This is a "I hate these guys because they kick our ass every year, and want to beat them" hate.

Pffft......nobody should get mad at those comments, it's just his competitive nature seeping out. Hell at least D-Will gets it, all this talk of trio's forming or scheming to join up is sickening.

I don't think anybody is mad at the comments. I think that shows the competitiveness in Deron.

+1 I honestly don't see anything wrong with his comments. After getting his ass handed to him for so many years I think he has a reason to be mad.
