Yup, felt bad for him, too. They skipped right to Kareem...at least the camera guy did sort of a double take and gave the poor guy an extra few seconds.

Best ceremony ever too
Blame the PR guy who helped write the scripts. Hes the one that forgot.

I am surprised that they didn't have the script reviewed by Phil or Jeanie or one of the other coaches. Jeesh how about Mitch. That editorial review would have revealed that they missed someone. Somebody dropped the ball. I mean you work for the freakin Lakers dude not the White House. You have to get something right maybe a few times a year and you fudge it up. What a sweet gig. Pains me to know that this guy or girl doesn't realize what a sweet gig they have.

Not sure if anyone noticed but Lisa Estrada (Lakers Girls) was even in line too I don't think they mentioned her. But she got a ring too. Way to go ladies!

She probably got a different ring than the rest of the coaches and players though.

Likely. I think they give them out in three or four different tiers. Everybody who works for the organization, even the secretaries, get minor versions.

So what's his position with the team?

He use to be the Lakers west coast scout, then was later moved to an special assistant position. He's the son of former Laker and UCLA player and coach Walt Hazzard. Hazzard ran with the Lakers from 1964-1967.

I think it was more of TNT's fault.. I mean, they didn't even have the graphic with his name up. If they had put it up, and the announcer (Lawrence Tanter) skipped him, then it woud be his fault. Maybe it's both their faults?
Anyways, that was a pretty sad moment. I would feel devastated if they skipped over me like that, on national TV.

I doubt TNT told LT who to announce. It's likely neither of their fault, whoever gave him the list of people to read off also gave that list to TNT for the graphics I'd assume. No one decided to check if anyone was missed.
