Through 7 games, 7-0. Decided to look at our points and points allowed by quarter to see how fast we start out, and how we finish.
Lakers:
1st - 31ppg (high 35 at Kings, low 26 vs Rockets)
2nd - 27.9ppg (high 39 vs Grizzlies, low 20 vs Warriors/Raptors)
3rd - 27.6ppg (high 31 vs Blazers, low 24 vs Grizzlies)
4th - 27.6ppg (high 35 vs Rockets, low 20 at Kings)
Opponents:
1st - 23.4ppg (low 14 vs Warriors/Blazers, high 33 vs Rockets/Kings)
2nd - 25.6ppg (low 20 at Kings, high 38 vs Raptors)
3rd - 25.4 (low 20 vs Houston/Raptors, high 30 vs Grizzlies)
4th - 26ppg (low 19 vs Warriors, high 32 vs Blazers)
As you can see, our scoring differential goes down each qtr in a pretty linear fashion. We score less as we go along, and we give up more points as the game goes on.
We've been outscored in the:
1st qtr one time (-7 vs Houston)
2nd qtr three times (-2 vs Warriors, -4 vs Houston, -16 vs Raptors)
3rd qtr two times (-1 vs Warriors, -6 vs Grizzlies)
4th qtr two times (-2 vs Grizzlies/Kings
So we've been outscored in 8 out of 28 quarters so far (28.6%), by an average of 5 points per quarter.
What do you guys think? Any thoughts?
