All I see is 3 of the 5 starters who were originally on that '04 Pistons team.

Who can forget? Blow 'em the **** out.

I love that "Don't Get Stung!" part. I would really like to see us blow this game open early on and allow our starters (mainly the bigs) to get some good rest.

Put it away early and don't give up the lead late.

Don't forget that Detroit does have some dangerous players off of the bench in Gordon and Villanueva.

Damn, I forgot all about T-Mac. Looking at his stats he's pretty much insignificant at this point.

Detroit was down by 32 to the Warriors in the last game, and then came back to get within 3, lol.

Lets smash these scrubs.

Good work Big Game, let's play 3 hard quarters of ball. By the 4th it shouldn't even be a contest, that means we should be pimp'in Sasha and Luke. Hell we gotta make somebody want'em.

I'd really like to see Kobe cut back on all the 3-pointers. He's one of the worst 3-point shooters we have, yet he regularly leads the team in attempts and he's the only one taking more than 4 per game (4.6 to be exact).

There's just no reason for him to be jacking 3's like that. It's a poor percentage shot, and when he misses it leads to a fast break by the other team. He should be taking no more than 2 or 3 a game, including bailouts.

I'd generally like to see Kobe take less shot attempts in general. I'd like to see Pau and LO get more involved early.

This game is gonna be tougher than records may portray the outcome .

Solid Matchups tonight.

PAU, Lamar, RON and Shannon need to take control early.
Hopefully Kobe doesn't need to play more than 30 minutes tonight.

Then off to another battle in Minny .
A team who the Lake Show barely beat by 5 points a week ago.

Damn 4.6 attempts a game is a lot more than I expected. You're right though, there really isn't a reason why he should be shooting that many 3s. He does his 1 heat check every game after hitting 2 in a row. With Bynum out Kobe should really be going into the post like he did early last year with Gasol out. He did it a lot against the Rockets and I thought we would see it at least until Bynum returned but he fell in love with the long distance shots. There are very few shooting guards that can defend Kobe in the post. Hopefully tonight we see that.

i think that kobe's increased shot selection is a direct result of gasol not being as active - which is mostly because of the physicality of playing the 5 and having to routinely deal with bigger and stronger players. Almost makes you think of kobe having to guard someone like 'bron night in and night out (no im not comparing the skill set of the centers pau has gone up against to lebron, just saying the physicality of some of them is wearing him down).... give the season some time and let the roster get healthy and i think he will ease off the huge shooting nights
