The only year you could argue Kobe was robbed of an MVP by Nash was 2005/2006 which IMO is Kobe's best season.

35 points, 4 assists, 5 rebounds, 45 percent shooting and obviously the 81 point explosion.

In 04/05 Nash took a lottery team to the Western Conference Finals. He definitely deserved it.

If Chris Paul and the Hornets keep up their play its going to be Paul hands down. Some say Pau is our MVP while others say Kobe is. Pau has a ton going for him right now and that is going to take away from Kobe. I really don't care if our players win MVP or not but I am satisfied with the fact that we have two guys that are capable of playing at MVP caliber levels. There is probably only one other team in the NBA that could say that and that is Miami.

It's entirely possible, but I'm fine with him being the underdog all season and win it at the end, so long as the Lakers keep winning and Kobe's stats stay impressive.

To win the regular season MVP. Kobe will have to play more minutes than he needs to. I say we rest him and give him less minutes and keep him fresh for the playoffs. Kobe has all the rewards he will ever need. So the only one he really wants is number 6, Then maybe #7.

The Regular Season MVP is great but Kobe only cares about this MVP award.

He has a solid chance as long as he remains healthy and his contributions keep propelling the team wins. Its a little too early in the season to officially say anyone has this thing in the bag, though. This thing appears to be a crap shoot at the moment to be honest.

Chris Paul, the front runner likely isn't going to sway the majority of voters unless his teams wins 50 or more this year, and I'm not sure the Hornets are that team the rest of the year. Then you still have guys like Dwight Howard, Durant, Rose, Williams, who can all get hot and carry their teams for months. I'm expecting any one of these guys to make a serious run for it towards the end.

there is a high posibility, maybe if we finish number 1 in the league. but like what everyone already said, it's the playoffs that counts. I prefer a 100% healthy kobe in the playoffs.

MVP award is a curse the past 3 years. I'd rather someone on miami or boston won it.

Longer than that. I think the only 2 MVPs to win a title in the '00s were Shaq and Duncan

Ah, Just goes to show you to get MVP numbers you usually have to have one player who is way better than everyone else on the team. but if you have that chances are you aren't winning many playoff games. Course theres some exceptions to truly dominant players but there's nobody that dominant in the league today. (as dominant as Shaq on the 00's threatpeat or as jordan in the 90s)
