I didn't like the design at first, but I saw them in person and I changed my mind.

Yes... from his Black Mamba persona.

I'm not feeling the design at all.

I think the scale art on the shoes are an incredibly creative idea but totally done wrong here I think. I'm no shoe designer but for a shoe that will retail for well over 100, these look pretty plain to me. I expect more.

Just wait until a few more colorways come out... because that makes a huge difference in how they look.

I wish the Kobe shoes showed the Nike Air bubble in the soles. I don't think any Kobe design ever implemented that.

Nice first post. :D

As for the air bubble, Kobe's always been with Nikes ZOOM department.
Zoom is all about high performance cushioning.
All of Jordans kicks were Zoom cushion technology as well.
More suited for the quicker guards.
Lunar foam is the new Zoom cushioning.

Air Max are heavy and rugged more customed for the forwards and centers.

I don't know. I'm absolutely loving the scale design with the black/yellow kicks.

My Durant's are starting to break on me and I won't make down to the US until the end of summer most likely so I might actually buy some Kobe's these holidays. I've always wanted Kobe's.

On second though, I'm coming around on these kicks.

I miss them high tops, though. ;[

I like Kobe's shoes, I like how Nike's not sacrificing comfort and performance vs. style and flash. But, it is starting to get boring, the last 3 shoes by Kobe looks pretty much the same. Hopefully Nike would come up with new designs and ideas.

I like the low tops but not the texture... at least for everyday.

I can get away w/ black Nikes at work if they are plain but I can't where the kicks everywhere so I'm not feeling these.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

When I was 12 or 13 I got real big into basketball shoes. I stopped looking into them so much when my family went through some rough times, and since have never really gotten back into them.

Long story short, these shoes make me want to start collecting again.
