Is Luke back to his "best"?

i had actually thought that phil would've gone right back to the three headed monster that was the pau/bynum/odom rotation
and really found it surprising that he was playing luke at power forward to spell lamar instead of a few rare instances where we went huge with pau/bynum.
luke has been playing well, hes moving the ball incredibly well (despite slightly high # of turnovers per minute) and hes actually reminding me of the time when we needed to have at least one of luke or lamar on the floor, just to move the ball and create offensive rhythm that makes the triangle so beautiful to watch.
so what are you guys' thoughts on luke at the moment?

I think it's time to trade his ass while he still has some amount of value.

People got to remember Luke is now 30 years old. He is not a young gun or all the upside will come. What we see is what we will have. I would love to trade him for a player who we can use. Not sure that will happen. Luke is like all Lakers. He is costing the Lakers 5 plus million a year then another 5 million in the tax. So it was the same with Sasha, Adam Morrision. All these so call bench wanna be's are or were costing the Lakers 10 million a season.
I wish Lukes time would go to Ebanks or Shannon or someone who is going to be here for years.
Buss needs to start to save money soon or it might not be that great of a future.

maybe its coincedence but the bench was killing it before we saw Walton on the floor, ever since he started getting more minutes, the bench has look very medicore.

i think his value is only ever going to increase
seeing as his value couldn't possibly decrease from what it is right now

he could get injured again
obviously its much easier said than done, but trade him for anything right now while he's healthy!

Luke is a ticking time bomb out there - another injury will come, unfortunately. It's just a matter of time.

DonKilluminati's avatar is actually Luke Walton.
and I'm quietly being entertained by your sig.
I suppose if the opportunity comes, and a trade for the better happens, but I think he's been playing pretty well. If he gets back at shooting the 3 consistently, it would be better. But for now, at least he's providing here and there.

^^ lol, they're not bringing the composite ball back ever.
imo, he got paid on his performance with the composite ball and its lucky bounces (got injured right after the leather ball got reinstated)

Yeah I remember him saying that he was a fan of the composite ball when it first came out. Wow, spot on catch Aki!

luke has been solid playing the 4 next to drew. luke is being used as the initiator in the post and its been running smoothly. unfortunately the bench has been getting killed on the boards with luke at the 4, and there hasn't been a 4 capable of taking luke to the post yet, but it'll come.

I don't think Phil is gonna set himself up for that moment. I have a faith that he will adjust.

luke's one of those players who need more minutes to do well. back when lakers had a scrub team he and sahsa were getting minutes and therefore were able to produce. once injured he was sidelined and didn't get the minutes he needed

give young skywalker a chance, he is like fish, lacking athleticness, but loads of intelligence, and intelligence always wins...he is good for the offense, probably shouldnt shoot too much, except high percentage, but this team has to have a luke on the floor from time to time...
as far as trading him away? philup would pay his salary himself before he allows that to ever happen...
as phil said during this years ring ceremony, he considers himself to be lukes real father...so yeah, good luck with getting traded...
