Griffin is great for a rookie and all, but this is Kobe Bryant we're talking about here. I'm not stupid enough to by pass up the opportunity of watching an all time HOF great going to work before my eyes, especially one who suits of for the Lakers.
Not a casual fan. I'd much rather pay to watch Odom, Gasol, Bynum, Lebron, Wade, Rose, Durant, Kidd, Nowitzi, Duncan, KG, Pierce, Allen, Shaq, Nash, CP3, Williams, Stoudemire, Howard, Anthony and a lot more other guys.
I know he's the "IN" thing right now, but he hasn't done squat in this league for me to get jacked up in watching him over a lot of other guys to be honest.

Is this a joke? You are comparing a future hall of famer, and possibly the best basketball player in the planet to a Clipper rookie? Are you nuts?
Don't let the flashy dunks fool you.

I'd better watch Kobe in the worst shape than Griffin making 1080 degrees dunks.

I'm a Lakers fan and I'd rather see Blake Griffin. He can explode for a crazy play at anytime, I think that's hands down more exciting than what Kobe offers. You'll see like three highlights from Griffin every single game, whereas you're more apt to see Kobe shoot 8-24 than really blow yer hair back.

It's like askin who would you rather see play: Michael Jordan or Young Vince Carter / Young Amare Stoudamire / Young Jason Richardson. We will see a lots of BGs in the future but you may never see a player like Black Mamba.

Some haters in here for real. Oliver Miller over Griffin? You're either joking, hating, or (Please Use More Appropriate Word). To the guy who said "Don't let the flashy dunks fool you".. how are they fooling anyone with this question? It's who would you rather watch, not who will bring you the title, so flashy dunks are a big part of the equation (for people who like excitement live).
Since I'm a Lakers fan first and foremost, I'd pay to see Kobe play every time due to that and his career winding down. But if we're talking about which guy will make you jump out of your seat ALL GAME LONG, it's Blake Griffin this year, no doubt about it. Hell, he's not even just dunks. He whoops out the handles, has circus shots, rebounds over anyone and can score 40 when he's on.

espn is all about the "right now" hype, lets get this straight blake griffen is a beast a man among boys, but lets not forget who the best player, playing for the best team in all of sports is (to me atleast).
i watch all clipper games and they go as blake goes so lets give him some credit, but by all means kobe is the one poeple travel to la to see

Its not saying BG is better. Griffin is very exiting to watch do to his dunking. Most people like flash.
Kobe on the other hand is skilled and shoots. Not as exiting to watch as posterizing but Kobe is clerly better.
But Id rather watch blake.

Mark Heisler said today that Blake Griffin is the most exciting player he's ever seen.

Are you on crack? I'm all for making a point, but really....
This is a poor comparison, but you can expect as much from ESPN. First of all, you're comparing young v. old. For the next ten years, obviously Griffin is the sound choice. If you're talking about someone winning you games this season, then Mamba has the resume you can't really refuse. Then you're talking different position. Block vs. perimeter. Just a poor comparison overall, but ESPN is all about the ESPN-benefiting aspects of sports.

Kobe. But Blake is definately something special and he has what it takes to be the best player in the NBA. What he is doing as a rookie is not only phenomenal but also exciting.

That's pretty big of Heisler to say. He's an excellent bball writer and grew up following Dr J and the Sixers.
