I'm told that there's at least one prominent Laker who hopes he's the guy who gets shipped out in the next 20-odd days.

One source close to the situation insists that Ron Artest wants out.

Asked to react to that, Artest's agent David Bauman declined comment.

I feel like Ron has not improved as the Lakers staff (Phil) would have wished and Kobe has taken on Barnes as his favorite rabble rouser.

If there is any truth to this I believe that it has to do with Ron and Phil more than anything else. Phil uses coaching tactics that most players are not used to. Ron Artest doesn't appear to be a fan of those ways and I think it is leading to tension between the two.

Ty Cobb,

Congrats on your 15K post, did you even realize you' hit that marker ?

The Orlando board had an Artest thread opened. Do we want him, he's supposedly available...

I posted this...

Your wish is our command...

Brown, Artest, Bynum for

Duhon, Q Rich, D12

Our Mod/Admin, Ty Cobb, already checked, it works, all you have to do is push send .

Love,

Lakers Real GM

1. He's weary of being scapegoated for the team's struggles and feels that he's destined to always absorb the bulk of the blame no matter what happens because Jackson and Bryant are so dependent on the more glamorous contributions of Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom and will never publicly go after regal Laker lifer Derek Fisher.

whether artest actually feels that way isn't my focus, just that man has fisher got this franchise hostage or what.

You know... I'm really torn on Ron Ron...

My instinct and gut is to feel kind of sorry for him. But at the same time, he sure runs hot and cold doesn't he?

I mean he's bouncing all over the media in his drawers after the Championship and donating his ring money etc... But when it's time to play ball, he's erratic and ineffective and ultimately can't take the criticism. His job begins and ends on the court and he just hasn't seemed to be doing it very well.

So how bad am I supposed to feel for him?

Yes, Fish has been bad. Pau has been playing small. Kobe's been jacking at times. Etc, etc, etc...

But ultimately, Ron lost his spot to Barnes because Barnes just flat out-played him.

Ron seems to have been the bad-guy so long, he doesn't even know how to play with a chip on his shoulder any more.

I guess that's where I sort of feel bad for him... He's conflicted and that's gotta suck...

But you just won a championship with the best Organization in the sport and have a chance at another... You don't ask to be traded from that... You shut up and play ball.

Magic wouldn't trade Dwight alone for those 3 combined and Gasol......
