(KMOV) -- A Belleville man was arrested after creating a disturbance at a popular Metro-East bar.

James C. Schlidge, 29, from Belleville, IL, was arrested after other patrons complained to employees about the man. Big Daddy employees asked Schlidge to leave and he refused. Bar officials called the police to file a criminal trespass complaint.

When police arrived, Schlidge became irritated. As police tried to arrest him, he resisted and had to be tased. He was taken to police headquarters to be processed. While being processed, he became unruly and was placed in a cell.

Schlidge is being held pending charges.
