Count Ron Artest among the many that hope Carmelo Anthony ends up playing for the Knicks.

"I hope they get him," Artest said of the Knicks before quickly and playfully adding, "Well, I'm not promoting anyone."

Artest, a native of Queensbridge, says he follows the team closely.

"I'm a big Knick fan," he said."I'm very happy [with the Knicks this year]. I hope I'm still alive to be able to play against the Knicks in the championship one day."

Chris Paul is not a certainty. If Anthony gets traded to NY with the extension, then there's no way the Knicks will be able to afford Paul as well. If you remember with the Heat, all three of them took slight paycuts to make it work, the Knicks already have already cashed out on Amare and they're going to do the same with Carmelo.

I'd much rather see Artest end up with the Knicks. Caracter to Denver, Carmelo to LA, Artest to NY. Phil would be a happy man.

the knicks will have nothing to do with who makes the finals in the east melo or no melo.

my first choice would be to keep artest...god willing he starts hitting his wide open jumpers on a consistent basis

Arest truly has the worst offensive game in the NBA, it's not even close. Who is worse than him??

Ron has become Fisher like when trying to score in the paint, gets swatted, miss layups and in general can barely jump 2inches off the ground...dude is epic bad right now, offensivly its like we're playing 3 on 5, Fish/Artest can hit shots for nothing.
