why do we even have to bother playing these games, its a waste of everyones time, we know we are going to win, they know they are going to lose, whats the point

I will probally turn off the laker basketball for a month if we lose NO REASON at all to loose.Even if we bring half our effort.

I would honestly use this game to get everyone else involved and feeling confident. This game should be all about Artest,Blake,Ebanks,Character, and Smith...Rest Kobe Pau and Odom as much as possible (all game)

If we lose it's the end of the world as we know it.

Cleveland will come out with alot of energy tonight , can't be complacent as demonstrated in these past two losses.
The Cavs are still a NBA team.
it would be great to boost up some momentum going into the All Star break.

not to point any fingers but there have been a lot of new posters here lately that bring down the quality of posts in this board. it's quality people, not quantity. i don't care if u have 3978584758 posts, it means nothing if you can't make a logical base.

we'll win this, mainly because its the middle of the week. i noticed the trend: weekend games are the ones we have huge potential for a downer, especially sunday

I was looking at the remaining schedule for the Lakers, and it's pretty tough. Either we're going to be battle tested and ready for the playoffs, or they're going to be just drained. I'm hoping it's the former, but won't be surprised if it's the latter. The Lakers need an injection of some sort. I think they should take a longer look at Melo, or some sort of trade.

Agreed. But there's really nothing to take a look at. We want to compete this year for a title, if we trade Bynum we're not winning anything. There's only two trades I can think of as having a slight chance of happening. A trade with Memphis for Mayo, or a trade with Charlotte for Gerald Wallace. Personally, I'd rather take the upgrade at the SF position and go with Wallace. I'm sure there's gotta be a way we can flip Artest though. I wish we would've kept our 1st rounder, deals would be so much easier even if it is a low pick.

Outside of Bynum, Odom, and maybe Shannon Brown, I don't think the Lakers have much to offer. Obviously there is a market for Gasol and Bryant, but they should be untouchable, in my opinion. I would love to trade Artest, but I don't know of any teams that would want him and his contract. It's not an outrageous contract by any means, but it is pretty lengthy. It would be awesome if the Lakers could partner up with Memphis again and trade Artest for Mayo, considering they want a capable wing defender, after looking at how many minutes they give to Tony Allen. I definitely agree with you that there's nothing to look at because of our lack of trade assets.
