If Theo is gone for the season. Would Dan Gadzuric be a good third center for the Lakers. He is 33 so younger than the Theo. Celtics and Magic seem to be in every name that is out there.

Gadz will do just fine....Murphy is only good for standing around the 3pt line now these days, Gadz got no offense so he always in the paint.

we are going to sign the worst available F.A. Brewer headed to either Dallas or San Antonio. Murphy to the Celtics and Bibby to the Heat. Who's left?...not a fan of Gadzuric

Do we really need another player?

another big wouldnt hurt. Gadz is not that bad...when he wants to play. I have seen him on the verge of dominating games when he was in Milwaukee, especially when he played the Magic. He can dunk, block shots, and play D. I would rather take Murph...then Brewer, then Powe, then Bibby...wait a second, he IS the worst free agent available!!!! Nevermind.

You'd think if they wanted to chase rings they'd head to a place that actually gets rings...

Its not that players don't want to come to LA its about playing time. For example Bibby isn't coming to LA because he'll be behind Fish and Blake Brewer would be behind Ron, Barnes, Kobe, even Shannon. Murphy before he was traded to NJ was a major rotation player in Indy in LA he'll be behind Pau, Andrew, and Lamar. This is why their not coming to LA and that's why players like Powe or Gadzuric are more likely because neither of those guys on their last teams were in the 8 man rotation.

puddle (Los Angeles)

Is it just me, or do the Lakers never really get involved in picking up these veterans who are cut from bad teams after a salary dump trade? Boston and Miami get Murphy and Bibby respectively, and, just like in years past, the Lakers sat on the sideline and watched. Do they believe their team is already good enough or do they not want to mess with chemistry or add payroll or what?

Someone like Gadzuric, if he's around, makes a little more sense, b/c with Ratliff's injury they might need a big, but I suspect they'll wait until the need arises... and if it does, they've got bigger problems then potentially missing out on Dan Gadzuric.
