What does Kobe need to improve on?

Kobe Bryant is the most complete basketball player in the world. Some say that he’s the best player in the NBA right now and others say that he’s the most skilled basketball player in the history of the NBA. He is unrivaled when it comes to work ethics but can he still get better?

Kobe is 32 years old this season. At 32, most stars are at the wrong end of their primes and are certainly no longer MVP candidates. Kobe Bryant is still an MVP candidate this year and will likely finish in the top 5 again. But he isn’t the top MVP candidate this year. He is no longer helping his team like the way he used to.

Luckily, with Kobe’s work ethic, he can get back to the top next season at 33 years old.

These articles are stupid. Kobe can be MVP if his role was different. He is always number one but LA has a lot of talent. Also, his minutes will be lowered (his lowest since pretty much his rookie year) for playoff runs. The triangle offense does not push monster numbers. When was the last time a Laker averaged 8 assists? Certain things don't function the same in Phil's offense, who cares if he wins the actual hardware, Laker fans and other scouts know how important he is to the team. How many MVPs have won the title the same year? Last one was probably Duncan or Shaq back in the early 2000s. Who cares about the hardware itself, Kobe will take the finals MVP any year.

That's the biggest thing, he could always shoot an incredible % if he didn't take a few of those unnecessary shots. He's at his best when he makes quick moves after catching the ball, not when he holds the ball for a whole possession before letting it fly.

But other than that, the article isn't too bad. The 3 things listed are good choices. I agree with the catch and shoot 3, would be reeeally dangerous if he could play off the ball more and just catch and shoot better.

But really he's 32 yrs old and he's still a sound player. There's nothing much he can really do to change his game physically. He just needs to put aside whatever little ego he has left, accept that he's getting old and instead of jacking up shots trying to take over the game, pass the ball more. In other words he needs to work on still trying to force the issue.

Finally some real posts. I knew coming in here you would swear Kobe never makes a mistake. Kobe's flaws are shot selection & unwillingness to share the ball at times. Anyone who doesn't see that, doesn't want to see it. Oh & the most important thing, stop cheating on defense. We don't expect him to be the lock down defender he once was be he still is a well above average defender at the least. He just has to put more concentration there. Also you are never too old to improve on anything, be it sports or life in general.

Kobe's shot selection is something that I think all of us would like to see him change. I don't think anybody would be mad at the amount of shots he takes if they were reasonable shots. But even when he is ice cold be continues to fire away shots and it eventually hurts the team. That is the one thing I would love to see him change. Its not really about something he really has to improve on, its just something he has to change mentally.

yea maybe shot's selection....though kobe's shot selection improves usually in the playoffs though.
