The Lakers don't celebrate or care about Pacific Division (like the Suns) and Western Conference titles.

I remember the clear difference when the Lakers won the Western Conference title in 2008 and in 2009.
In 2008, granted, it was won at home, but the team was somewhat giddy, excited to reach the finals, but little did they know they'd meet up with a tough Boston team.
You can see it on their faces:

Compare that to 2009, it was an away game, but I saw it in their eyes, a different mentality.

Growth of the team is great.

Great post CowsMoo, I noticed that change from 2008 to 2009 and knew they'd be a different team in the finals.

They didn't even want to touch the trophy. We only hang Championship Banners in the rafters.

dam what happened to the pacific division anyways? It use to be the powerhouse of divion in the west, now its only us lol
