Most of the crowd aren't die hard fans, they just want the experience of the game.
A lot of us fans that would actually be there cheering just cannot afford these tickets..

Yeah, it's pretty sad.
And the majority of the die hard Laker fans who simply can't afford the lower level seats are up in the 300 level. Take myself for example. I've always sat in nosebleeds and have never sat in the lower level of a Laker game simply because it gets too damn expensive at times, hence my username.

It'll be just 2 more fans using their smartphones to post in the realgm game thread about the officiating and defense.

Hey shhhh.... how did you know about my rainbow wig? Don't worry, I'll be screaming and yelling my ass off, as I always do. I even got the 2 sections next to me to chant "Boston Sucks" when we went into OT against the Rockets earlier this season.
STAPLES Center is loud when it wants to be, trust me. One factor to take into account when talking about the volume is the sheer size of the arena. STAPLES Center is massive inside, compared to other "loud" arenas. Most of the louder arenas are smaller and the seats are closer to each other and to the court. It would be nice though if it stayed loud throughout the game, but that will never happen.

I guess you could account for the size, when I go to Volleyball games here in Hawaii, it seems so loud, arena is significantly smaller than Staples Center.
BUT, when I went to my first NBA game last year (Game 2- Western Conference Finals) with Imadogg, I was a little disappointed at how quiet my section was. When people can hear my stupid ass comments I make, that's when you know you're too quiet. Since the Lakers were playing the suns, every time Nash would have the ball I would yell to stop the potato, and when Dragic would touch the ball, I would yell stop the dragon. I felt like I was the craziest in the section, but limited my crazy since everyone was quiet and the Lakers pretty much controlled the game. Still though...=/

If you even noticed the crowd is usually dead on Weekend game, because thats when all the stars come out to show their faces on camera. It is also why the lakers tend to loss in the playoffs on most sundays, or at least thats what I read somewhere. If you go to a game on the weekdays the atmosphere is quit different. More Real fans are attendant.

From the crowds of crappy teams.
Seriously though, people overrate the "quietness" of Staples. It's not gonna be loud for 48 minutes. We don't have a Kings crowd or a Duke crowd. Fans aren't gonna be yelling in the 2nd qtr of a 10 point game. We are spoiled from winning all the time, but fans do get loud when they have to be.
And also rich people don't scream like I do

Well you saw me...I think you can label me as the "Drunk bitch that doesn't shut up"..only thing was..I wasn't drunk. I was just a bitch yelling with the Lakers up 14.

It was pretty loud there earlier tonight. Especially in the 2nd half. Here are videos I took. Don't worry, the Facebook videos are public.

Yep. It has to be said a million times to get it across. The people you see in the lower bowl may be Laker fans, but they're much more demure than the ones in the cheaper seats and they are PUT TO SHAME by the fans who were priced out totally. And a number of them aren't fans at ALL. Sorry, Mr. Hanks...

if our crowd was still like that I'm not sure we'd ever lose a home playoff game, ever.
