OT- MLB takes over Dodgers

Post#1 » by not5not6not7 » Wed Apr 20, 2011 10:11 pm

Wow when I read this I couldnt beleive it, this might be the begining of the end of this nightmare ownership. McCourt has been an atrocious owner from Day One. He has no idea what the fans want or deserve. The first fiasco was jacking the parking fees (and that idiotic 'directed parking' foolishness), then letting quality (and popular) players escape to rivals and then not willing to pay for the big name players that could have elevated us to becoming real world series contenders(CC Sabathia,Adrian Gonzalez) he did nothing but prove that he should never have left that Boston parking lot.
Was anybody surprised that his marriage went down the crapper (along with our Team)?

I welcome this change, and hope that we can get an owner that will treat the team and it's fanbase with the respect, compassion, and devotion it deserves.

I'm not really a baseball fan, but I remember what the Dodgers were like 20 years ago and it is sad what has become of the franchise. I remember when a classmates family was Dodger Family of the Year and got to go meet the team and all kinds of stuff. I remember the Dodgers coming to visit the Children's Hospital when I was a kid in there. Had no idea McCourt was such a terrible, greedy owner though. Half expected it to be due to the divorce. I hope he loses the team.

I could care less if the Dodgers moved to Anaheim and changed their name to the Los Maloofs Angels or something.

Even when Magic and Kareem were running showtime this town was a Dodger town first then a Lakers town...since then though it's become easily a Laker town but I guarantee if the Dodgers won again it would switch.

Truly hurts having McCourt as our owner. Pretty much a similar situation to Davis and the Raiders. LoL.

When I think about all those superstar pitchers the Dodgers could of landed but McCourt passed on...... SMH.

True but seriously besides all the championships , Basketball is the #1 sport IMO.
When I was born in 82' my parents took me to the Laker championship parade.
In 88' which was the last year the Dodgers won the World Series I remember my parents being ecstatic but not enough to make the trip to the parade. LoL.

Even if the Dodgers won it again somehow I believe this town will mainly bleed purple and gold still. IMO.

One things for sure if you thought the Lakers Championship Riots were bad imagine what will happen if the Dodgers win. LoL!
