Are any of you worried about this series?
I don't think we should be extremely worried, but at the same time, this series just makes me a little uneasy. It seems like our strength, size and length advantage is not really making the consistent impact that I would expect. I'm also a little bit uneasy in the fact that I can't remember when a single player has dominated our team as much as Chris Paul has this series.
With that said, we have always responded well in series' where we were tied 2-2, and I know that we always respond well to adversity. At the same time, obviously, anything can happen... Curious what your thoughts are.

Same. I really wanted the game last night so we could close it out in 5, but look what happened.

Unfortunately, I can picture this series going 7, though I hope we close them out in 6.

Re: Are any of you worried about this series?
i am a little bit due to the fact that Paul is a PG (our weakest position) and hes torching us, and when we put a finger on him, he flops & draws a foul.
and on top of that, Monty seems like he wants all the calls in the Hornets favor :

yup !! he knows CP3 cant have a tripple double every game, so hes asking the refs to help out a bit.
i say the Lakers play fire with fire and call Stu to complain about CP3 flopping and the lack of calls Kobe's been getting in this series.

That's just funny with the way Paul makes a mockery of officiating by exploiting it with constant flopping.

What a jackass -- Monty that is. The Hornets have gotten favorable officiating in this series all things considered. We've been pounding the ball inside and taking a ton of contact, and despite that the Hornets have still gotten to the line more.

Re: Are any of you worried about this series?
I'll start worrying when the Hornets are on the verge of winning their 4th game of the series. Even if we lose the next game I'm not going to be particularly worried. When we play like we give a damn, we can beat any team.
The biggest concern right now is injuries. I haven't heard anything on Kobe's ankle and that could be a huge blow for us as our perimeter defense is already sketchy.

it is all part of the art of war. Monty feels that the Lakers have a good case at complaining to the NBA for all the non calls on Kobe so he attacks the Lakers by beating them to the punch and making us look like "punks" if we counter-complain about it.

This. It's extremely irritating seeing the lackadaisical play from the Lakers. Knowing that if they played up to their potential and were interested in this series, this would've been over in 4 games. But because of the lack of effort and expecting to just roll into the Finals, mixed in with them completely overlooking the Hornets they're now having to face a Game 5 against this team. It's truly sickening.

You guys better be worried. Potentially Game 7: April 30
With a win yesterday, this series would have been over on 26th.
That would've given at least 5 days of rest before the 2nd round. And every game is a risk for injury on the players. Its been said that Boston lost because they got gassed out in game 7 because of tiredness by fouling.

Bulls fan here.Im noticing how CP3 is controlling the tempo. Now,checking out the Indy-Chi series,Indy's counter is to throw a long defender on Derrick Rose. Why not try Shannon Brown or Barnes on Paul. Now I know the Lakers have more offensive options than the Bulls, but I think ,if anything a more physical /longer defender would throw Paul off his rhythm.

Re: Are any of you worried about this series?
Shannon is dense and Barnes is error prone, with CP3's incessant flopping neither is a good option. We don;t have a guy with the footspeed and length of Ariza or Granger with defensive smarts to throw at CP3.
Kobe should do the job looking at how successful he's been against Westbrook and Rondo but he suddenly seems a step too slow. As of now our best option is Steve Blake.

sb is such an incredible bone head...i just cringe when he's on the floor. i would definitely like to see more of matt barnes on paul, though of course a healthy kobe would be best.
either way, i really can't picture NO taking 4 out of 7, since paul would have to have two more historically great games to pull it off. hopefully this tough series will push us into another gear like last year after okc.
and for those complaining about paul's flopping, you gotta admit fisher is just as bad (though he's been pretty tame in the series). anyway, let's cross our fingers for no game 7!!

When you have a team that thinks they can turn it on and off at will, then you should always be a little worried. I think we'll clear NO - OKC scares the $hit out of me.
