Watching these exit interviews this early in the season sucks

I can't watch any of this, so for those watching please summarize what each player is talking about.

I want to know what Gasol has to say for himself.

Bynum again with the "trust" comments.

Bynum summary:

Looks like he just woke up, wearings shorts and a white tee.

Apologized for foul on Barea. Felt embarrassed and felt he disappointed the franchise and his upbringing.

Will work on lower base, watch film on double teams, add some quick post moves.

Thinks we can do better defensively and communication.

Says the team is still a contender, very close knit group off the court as well.

Teams adjusted faster than us to exploit our shortcomings.

Feels both him and Gasol can be successful together. Teammates should trust them more.

Is used to playing with another 7 footer in AAU. Feels its beneficial defensively and on the glass.

Feels the practices over the season were more relaxed and lacked focus from previous seasons.

I can't wait for Theo Ratliff's turn

Here's what I got from Bynums interview:

- Said practices were really different from the two previous seasons (probably cause Kobe sat out many of them), and that it's hard to work on a gameplan without everybody participating.
- Is injury free going into the offseason, something he hasn't been in a while.
- Going to study more X's and O's, how to get out of double and triple teams, get some new offensive moves
- Lakers are fine off the court, all really close, 'trust' issues were on the court

To be fair, Bynum kind of implied that he was disappointed to see defense was just not on everyone's agenda this season, which is what he meant by practice intensity.

I don't know why but I have a feeling Pau is going to drop a bombshell on us.

I have a feeling Bynum is referring to two things; Kobe trying to take it over himself once he sees the big guys down low struggling, instead of letting Gasol and Bynum working it out and getting more of the focus. The second 'trust' issue is what you mentioned on the defensive rotations and communicating on the defensive end.

He really, really wants a bigger role next year on the offensive end. That's for sure.

hmmm, i thought bynum had said that he was concerned that people stopped backing others up just cause that player had failed to back them up. i don't remember bynum saying he stopped backing people up, think it would have been a bigger deal.

Do you think anyone will announce their retirement?

That is one reason I am glad to see Phil go. Defense has been an after-thought with him the past few years (has he done any real coaching since the Suns series in 2006?), and putting Chuck Person (of all people) in charge of defense is kind of a sick joke. It worked great for like a 3 week period in February/March, but that's about it. When it came time for adjustments (when it actually mattered) we saw diddly squat.

ratliff may be? what a terrible signing that turned out to be. the only redeeming quality i can imagine is that perhaps ratliff ha something to do with bynum's defensive emergence. ratliff was quite the shot blocker in his day and could have given drew some pointers or just taught him about having a defense first mentality.

Am I the only one that thinks Ron isn't planning on being back??

artest: guys were just tired. a lot of players played 82 games, played hundres of games over the past few yrs while most players were sitting at home in april. guys are only 31-32, plenty of players have won titles at 34-35. went down fighting.
