Hi Lakers fans,

Putting the hatred aside, what deal could the kings and lakers strike for S. Brown?

so much for that

I honestly think brown could be a good role player for a team not named the lakers. This is just not his system, although his defense, shot jacking a few plays, and decision making does need some improvement

What could the Kings offer for Brown?

There's a few young players from the Kings I wouldn't mind having for Shannon. I'd take Thompson/Greene/Casspi/Jackson/Whiteside.

Out of that list I'd take Cassipi or Greene, Whiteside is interesting but probably not on the table at the moment.

Just make this guy go away. He was mediocre since the day he was traded.

I Don't get all the brown hate, his shot selection is awful at times, but he's one of the only guys who brings energy, atlethism, and youth of the bench. He had a great start to the season and he's been pivotal in games in the Playoffs, for one that dunk on birdman in the playoffs was a turning point in the series vs Denver.

I still think he has a lot of upside and can thrive under a new head coach, I for one would rather get rid of blake who's making 4 mill to stand around or run around in circles, at least brown tries to make thIngs happen. I wouldn't trade brown, but you can take Blake or welcome back artest any day.

i don't know if its hate, but if there's a few things that rub people the wrong way, its chuckers and lazy defenders. brown is BOTH.

I'd trade now S. Brown for Chris Brown. What's the difference ?

Brown did have a great start to the season by playing w/in himself, spot up shooting, cutting/slashing but that obviously got to his head and he started taking bad shots, killing possesions with bad shots with excessive dribbling then fading away and taking a Kobesque shot w/o the Kobesque skills, not defending well, and generally making the same dumb mistakes over and over again.

I agree brown played out of control for the 2nd half of the season, and trust me he drove me crazy too, but I still feel he can be really good role player and a spark of the bench for this team. He had a great 1st half to the season, and played really well last year when kobe went down with an ankle injury.

I think the BBALL iq is something he is lacking but I do believe it is something he can improve on, the guy is making 2 mill, we can do a lot worse than brown, and we have worse in players like Blake and Walton who don't just hurt us on the court but with there long term over paid contracts as well. So the brown hate is kinda unwarranted if you ask me.

I've been a longtime non-supporter of Brown and will stick to that until he signs with another team or until he figures out that he isn't a first option.

Just wanted to say that right now, this thread is above KAJ's one. So when I went though the titles today, I read "Shannon Brown's statue" and almost had a heart attack. =/ ^^

On the topic, he's our most athletic player right now, but has no bball iq, so we need to find a replacement for him... :/

I wonder if the problem with Shannon is the fact that we tried to make him into a PG because our rotation there sucks... He's a SG at best and an undersized backup at that... Not a floor general.

Perhaps if we found a way to get him to his proper, non-ball-distributor position, he wouldn't be such a chucker...

Thoughts? Is there anyway to 'salvage this relationship?'

im thinking differently....i actually think his trade value is higher than what his game suggests, because he kinda has a name in the league now...people know who he is, partly because of the dunks and partly because he played for the Lakers and won a ring.....he can probably bring us back somebody who's better than him.
