Sup Lakeshow,
I am close to those who work for the agent of Mike Brown (also D'antoni, Carlisle, etc - created Vegas Summer League) (read more here
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1112419) and just got word that he will take the Lakers job and inform other teams tomorrow.
Looks like Mike Brown will be your new coach.
Just wanna spread the word but I expect to be flamed but check my credibility if you care enough.
Thoughts?

You can literally look up the name of the agent with all the info I gave.
Does this mean I can brag when it happens?

Why can't you just tell us the name of the agent?
No. All it means is that the Lakers won't be returning to the Finals any time soon.

Sure if you are right you can brag all you want but if you are wrong promise to never post in the Laker board again.

Adelman must have said no. Why would Kobe sign off on this?

Everyone relax. All it says is that we're in talks with Brown. Were we not in serious discussion with Adelman like last week?
Now if we wake up tomorrow and he's HC then 2012 has come early.

I don't recall "Serious" discussions with Adelman.

Looks like Lakers want to take the cheapest guy possible while banking on an inevitable lock out.

NBA coaching sources on Thursday described the Lakers as “very interested” in Rick Adelman as a candidate for the position.
SI.com also talked about the Lakers interest and spoke with Adelman’s longtime assistant, Elston Turner, who thinks Adelman would be a good fit for the Lakers.

Point is this ish better not happen.

If we do get Mike Brown, Brian Shaw will probably go to coach the Warriors.

If it is Brown it does kind of make sense because you would think guys like Van Gundy, Adelman, and Dunleavy would only stay as long as Kobe is there which is probably 3 more seasons. Brown is younger and if he has success he'll probably be the coach in post Kobe era.
