Makes me wonder, yet again, why Shaq ever let himself get so out of shape. The weight over the past few years that he put on had to shorten his career by a productive season or two.

Eleven? Try 15! Time truly does fly. I still remember running around my apartment in college when the news broke that we'd signed Shaq. This was before the Interweb, so SportsCenter is all there was.

lol yeah you're right.
I was watching Shaqs 61 against the Clippers. Thats where I got the 11.
I threw a big Shaq party when the Lakers signed him in 96. Good times. I was a big Van Exel fan back then. Still bitter about that trade and the Jones one.

No, I meant his regular season debut not in this game. If I remember correctly, first possession NVE threw him alley hoop which he proceeded to catch and throw down.
Quite an introduction to the L.A. faithfull.

That video just made me realize how much I miss Chic
Shaq, Kobe, Nick, Eddie, Ced, Byron Scott, AND Chic I don't think we realized how lucky we were back then
