Alternate Love Theory

This whole love deal seems so lopsided I was trying to think of why the wolves would consider it. Am I hallucinating, or doesn't Love sometimes hint to the fact that he is not happy in Minn (for instance when he wasn't getting enough minutes, or when the HC was bring him in off the bench even though he was the leading rebounder). Can anyone confirm this idea that Love is unhappy in minn?
If memory serves me correctly, didn't Pau low-key subtly tell Mem Mgt that he wanted out and wanted to go to LA. That was a big reason that we were able to get him on the cheap. What if Love is doing the same thing???

Minn is not going to trade a 23 year old player who average 20 points and 15 rebounds. And then trade the #2 over all pick for 31 year old Pau. I would love it to happen. Just seems like a Laker one sided trade that does little for Minn.

What would be enough value in return to trade Pau? 1. Nothing - I'd never trade the second best player on the team 2a. Chris Paul, if we could swing it. Other players in the deal don't matter....
5a. Kevin Love and the Lakers' choice of other Minnesota players (other than Rubio) to match salaries (Beasley? Johnson? Milicic?, etc.) 5b. The #2 pick, plus the Lakers' choice of any Minnesota players except Love or Rubio to match salary 5c. The #4 pick, plus Kevin Love, plus one Minnesota player of the Lakers' choice (other than Rubio), with 2 other players going to Cleveland. (Lakers get big reduction in total salary as a side effect) 5d. The #2 pick, the #4 pick, Kevin Love, and another player from Minnesota (other than Rubio).
5e. The #2 pick and players other than Rubio or Love from Minnesota, and the TWolves take on Luke's contract (which means they get a useful player for Luke in the deal). 5e. The #2 pick, the #4 pick, two players from Minnesota of the Lakers' choice (other than Love or Rubio) from Minnesota, and Minnesota takes on Luke's contract. 6. Something else (you name it)"

And more fuel to that fire Laker fam...
Gasol to the Timberwolves for (at best) Kevin Love and the #2 pick... or straight up for Love.. or (at worst) the #2 pick, Michael Beasley and role players. We'd both do the first scenario and consider the third an insult, but the one-for-one deal divided us. I'd pull the trigger. Brian wouldn't. Either way, neither of us gets why David Kahn would flip a young All-Star for an older player (albeit a very good one) when the Wolves are nowhere near contention. If the appeal is Pau providing a Spanish-speaking comfort zone for Ricky Rubio , it's an even stupider idea.

I would take that Love+#2 for L.O. and picks. Then turn around and include the pick we get from Minny in a deal for D12. Pull the trigger Mitch!

if its 2/4 and another player from Minn I would defenitely consider it for BYNUM lol.....Pau is to skilled and much more reliable....I dont care how much younger Bynum is, its a joke everytime this dude falls and has to clutch for his knee. IF it was 2/4 with Darko, Id be all over that, not only can we get our future PG and another solid backup at #4 Darko would make a solid C playing next to Pau, he can do all the dirty work and not worry bout his offense which he stinks at, all he has to do is reb/blk shots and protect the paint, which is something PJ was always asking of Drew which he rarely did unless he was involved offensively. I would take D Will with #2 and Knight at #4 sign another big for MLE and we are SET!
Knight/Fish/Blake
Kobe/Barnes
Artest/Dwill
Pau/Odom
Darko/Pau

Minn will draft the best player they can get. Then later on they can use that player as trade bait. Lakers have a lot of 30 plus players. No one wants a 30 plus player unless that team is one player away from a championship.
I would love to get Kevin Love, but the price would be steep and can the Lakers afford to go that steep. Plus Pau makes 18 million next year, no one wants that on there books.

Minny needs an All Star caliber vet. Someone who is not young. Odom fits that bill so does Pau. So does Iggy & Parker.
